I am a HarMony shipper. But I won't say I loved this scene because I'm a shipper of it. For me, this scene was a great relief. Throughout the whole film, the trio were tossed here and there, they went from one place to another and went through so many difficulties even though they were young. Yes, they're adults in the wizarding world but 17 is a young age. This scene showed how they are still children, no matter what. Even though he isn't here, I also felt for Ron in this scene. It's perfect.

The imagery of the train is perfect. When Harry gets on the Express it's like the start of his life. Hogwarts is his home; it frees him from the Dursleys & shows him the life he was meant to have. It opens his eyes to happiness, friendship, magic, and love (like it did mine).

It is stronger than Hermione and Ron's. (Built on a stronger foundation).

It is in some ways stronger than Harry & Ron's friendship too. A guy has his best mate, sure Ron is Harry's. But I would say that Harry's true best friend IS Hermione.

Remember that the background of Hermione (muggle-born) and Harry raised by the Durdsley's is similar to each other also. Common ground.

I am a big fan of the books and was disappointed when I heard they were gonna have a moment between Harry and Hermione. When I saw it loved the song so much I made this video. The fact that Hermione knows where her heart lies made it an ok addition to the film for me.

@lellilove I totally agree with you! And the scene was far better than I expected it would be. It really showed their bond and how far and how much they've been through. I also love it because (as you said) it shows that even though they are alone in the woods together, they still know where their hearts truly belong, who they truly love, and that they know to resit the temptations placed on them in their time of loneliness :)
