Indeed, Dave Meltzer is the Geraldo Rivera of wrestling journalism. He has a history exaggerating claims and gossiping nonsense. Even Elijah Burke called him an idiot for making a false claim against Burke. Burke, in fact, was never too fond of Ohio Valley Wrestling and encouraged the other wrestlers there.from being too upset as OVW employees Meltzer, however, claimed Burke wrestled in a match and afterwards. told other wrestlers to "follow it up."
