My reactions to this movie's advert: 1. OMG OMG OMG WHOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!!!!!!!! 2. FINALY THERE IS A MOVIE!! 3. Amazing Graphics too! 4. Wait, that's not hot the Dragon Balls were made... 5. thats Goku.... 6. THATS Roshi?!? 7. And now here is where the problem comes in at. What to do about who plays as Goku, since Goku isn't human and yet the person who will portray as him will be human.
Well given this character, we should be open minded (BUDDHIST if you will) about this subject and allow anyone to be able to portray as him regardless of his "racial" phenotype, since no human could accurately portray as an extraterrestrial.
Now the real problem with Justin Chatwin being Goku shouldn't be he is white... rather...
our problem with him should be that he sucks playing as Goku. He is emo, negative, and rational. He is more suited to play Ichigo than he is playing Goku. Goku is the direct opposite of Justin Chatwin, lively, positive, and irrational.
That would be the non-racist view of why Justin Chatwin shouldn't play as Goku.
However if a Black Person could portray as Goku even though he is darker skin, we should accept that, because as said, we are having a human play as a non-human, anything possible.
We should realize for starters that Goku is not Asian, he is from an Asian Cartoon as the Cartoon belongs to Toei Animations, but Goku as he is depicted is an extraterrestrial, not a human being. Asian, White, and Black are human phenotypes. So as we should understand this biologically or pseudo-biologically, Goku cannot be Asian, White, or even Black because he isn't human.
Yet even though we try to identify him with a distinct phenotype (White or Asian), both won't do, because he's saiyan.

So wouldn't it be more accurate to have him be Asian instead of European, because he was made by an Asian. But then again aren't we really making an issue about race with this?
But things get even more strange on this issue. Take Samurai Jack. Jack is Asian, he is made by a white American and voiced by a black American. Or take Huey Freeman who is made by a Black Man, but voiced by a Black Woman. Yet we don't seem to have a problem with this, because it seems to fit nonetheless even though it is Asian man depicted by a white man's creation and voiced by a black man or a black man's creation voiced by a woman. Why is that so and yet we have a problem with Goku.

And now here is where the problem comes in at. What to do about who plays as Goku, since Goku isn't human and yet the person who will portray as him will be human.
Well given this character, we should be open minded (BUDDHIST if you will) about this subject and allow anyone to be able to portray as him regardless of his "racial" phenotype, since no human could accurately portray as an extraterrestrial.
Now the real problem with Justin Chatwin being Goku shouldn't be he is white... rather...

our problem with him should be that he sucks playing as Goku. He is emo, negative, and rational. He is more suited to play Ichigo than he is playing Goku. Goku is the direct opposite of Justin Chatwin, lively, positive, and irrational.
That would be the non-racist view of why Justin Chatwin shouldn't play as Goku.
However if a Black Person could portray as Goku even though he is darker skin, we should accept that, because as said, we are having a human play as a non-human, anything possible.

We should realize for starters that Goku is not Asian, he is from an Asian Cartoon as the Cartoon belongs to Toei Animations, but Goku as he is depicted is an extraterrestrial, not a human being. Asian, White, and Black are human phenotypes. So as we should understand this biologically or pseudo-biologically, Goku cannot be Asian, White, or even Black because he isn't human.
Yet even though we try to identify him with a distinct phenotype (White or Asian), both won't do, because he's saiyan.

Later it turned into some Sci-Fi story with Aliens.

What we should ask is what is Asian?
The problem we have is an identity problem.
We identify Goku as Asian, because he is created by an Asian. Of course that is rather stupid, because Mario from Super Mario Bros created by an Asian and isn't he depicted as an Italian. So wouldn't it be more accurate to have him be Asian instead of European, because he was made by an Asian. But then again aren't we really making an issue about race with this?

But things get even more strange on this issue. Take Samurai Jack. Jack is Asian, he is made by a white American and voiced by a black American. Or take Huey Freeman who is made by a Black Man, but voiced by a Black Woman. Yet we don't seem to have a problem with this, because it seems to fit nonetheless even though it is Asian man depicted by a white man's creation and voiced by a black man or a black man's creation voiced by a woman. Why is that so and yet we have a problem with Goku.

This movie's making Power Rangers look like a high budget show. Seriously I could just go to a Halloween store, buy the same masks which probably only cost $5 and shott the whole movie myself with other people and while I might suck cause I'm no professional, it could be nowhere near as bad as this.
