Thank you,John.Yes I have seen this poignant video before. As usual with your videos, it is incredibly moving.Though considering who the subject is,how could it not be to fans of Gene?Your editing always enhances the perfection we see in Gene and what solidifies the project is your inate ability to select the perfect music for each project.Again I salute your heart felt endeavours.
well this is simply beautiful! The editing is sublime, as it often looks like Gene herself is singing the well-chosen song. There was a touch of magic with this video, you captured the beauty and timelessness of Tierney. Wonderful job!
Thank you very much for the oppertunity to download this wonderful song. As I stated, when I first heard it all those years ago I never forgot it, and so pleased to get it.
Thank you eversomuch, just this Christmas, as a gift,I received two books, one of which I finished reading christmas night,it was Genes Autobiograph by the time I had finished my eyes, I am embarassed to say, welled with tears at Gene tremendious courage.
The second book is a biography by Michelle Vogle of which I have just turned the the page, where Genes youngest daughter, Christina, gives a forward to the book .If I had but the means and the talent it is easy to be inspired by such a rare, honest, and genuine person who we have the good luck to be able to enjoy,my tribut is in part a way of ensuring the story does not end,and mybe one day Hollywood will make a movie about Genes courage and yes her beauty.
It was the first Gene Tierney film I saw on TCM and that made me a fan of her. :) I also read the book, which intrigued me. I enjoyed it very much. The plot also isn't common (like the plots of men and women having to give up themselves for one another etc), it has a more 'Jane Eyre'/'Wuthering Heights' (the books) feel to it. It is filled with suspense and beauty at the same time, and I discovered that in more of Gene's films. :) Oh, and the costumes were gorgeous ;)
Dedicated to the Fans of Gene Tierney Bewail not shadows, Scattered through time, Nor breathless visions, Created in mime. Still gently may fingers, Spanning the breach, Touch softly in greeting, The souls within reach. For the worthy of heart, Their spirits to blend, Shall live an enduring Tale with no end.
A Kriss Kristoffersson song. I heard a rendition of this song to the accompanyment of Fiddle,Bodhran and melodian in Doolin at an traditional Irish music festival, but Joans version has more commercial appeal, but non the less beautiful for it...
You are welcome happytheleaf and please don't let your creations end.I believe Gene would be grateful too.
