I'm talking about the US vs. USSR. The Marshall Plan helped the SOCIAL market economies. I don't like the US free market however I still prefer in some aspects to Soviet stagnant socialism. Yes, Germans are still reminded about Hitler and should be on some things. In Afghanistan, the USA could do better and will do under Obama. Also, Putin supported USA going into there. I am not sure how that is flipflopping when Russia always supported war in Afghanistan and gave U.S bases and intelligences to invade. Also gave them the help of the Russian allied northern tribes so U.S and Nato did not suffer as many casuties.

Well you could say that the MANAS base was a conflict of national interest. The Russia already had a base there but well USA just had one recently, plus the contract for the base will or has expired. And SCO have shown a desire to stop renewal of contract for MANAS base. Besides I doubt this is more about Securing borders rather than the afghan war.
