I've got a 1.1 litre from the '90 and the fastest speed that I can get is a 165 km/h. (Without failure from the meter, in the meter says I'm going 170-175). But you've got to wait a lot for it. XD

in the reg. document they wrote at top speed 175km/h . 1.1l 60 ps engine :D

I've got a Pug 205 1.1 GL. Anyone know the best way to get some more speed out of this nippy beast? I've thought about getting a taller 5th cog so that i can get a higher top speed. Anyone know if a K&N works well on this car?

a K&N filter would do wonders to it like my 1.8 diesel can. since i put it on had better fuel efficiency, quicker response and 5mph more on its top speed, 120mph down a hill!!!! the car is crap but the engines.....they are fantastic!!!!!!

I've got a 205 1.1i Style, Light performance mods like a Induction Filter and a cold air feed with a GTi exhaust system, only ever got it to about 100mph, it just wouldn't go any further :P Annoying that most cars I drive i can get 60mph in 2nd, this thing only gets to about 50mph.

i have one peugeot 205 junior 1990 and it's the 1.0 model of 48hp and I reached 160km/h!

Wrote off my car ysterday (colin mcrae isn't that real i found hehe) 205 1.1 GL 1991, did 70mph in 2nd gear on a back road, never got it flat out though

I have been over 100mph in my 1.1 gl. its not fun at that speed but it is possible on flat run!! and it was off the main roads!! (wink)

It IS possible. I myself got a 1991 CJ Convertible and did 175 km/h with it last week.

There is more possible, but unfortunately I ran into a speed limit...

But you need a damn long run to reach that speed. ;)

How it is possible? The factory have said that 205 1.1 goes 154 km/h at the maximum speed.

I don't think the speed is show properly on the meter. The real speed is lower than this. But it's still impressive for a 1.1 liter engine.

I Have a PEUGEOT 205 GL 1.1 liter engine..

and its amximum speed is 160 km/h...

164 km/h thats the specific max at 1.1 engine. In original manual :)
