could there be a link with the direction of the spinning core inside the earth, and the epicenters. does it follow a straight line with the direction of core spin?
That's a very good question, Gene. The way I'm leaning on it presently is related to the nature of cause and effect. It's actually a resonation, and so it's an issue of polarity. It may have to do with which hemisphere of the sun the hole is in, since and wether the quake will be coincident the augmentation of the magnetic field or it's degradation. But how would you predict this?
i was just reading about the depth of the activity at some yellowstone site..apparently it's been an active week, there was also one in pennsylvania and oregon, etc..go to scientific american
Well, I guess your first instinct is generally the best one. Well done. Have you thought about any correlation in determining the aftershocks? I understand that this may be due to the main shock unsettling other fault lines but there seems to be a deterministic pattern with aftershocks.
Last count was 500 earthquakes since December 28, 2008 in Yellowstone. Even scientists say that these earthquakes are NOT normal at all so something really big is brewing.
The lake has been shifting for the last several years and we are in the standard zone for eruptions. Might not happen for several thousand years, might happen tonight. But we are definitely in the zone.
The tipping stone may be either a New Madrid event or the Oregon subduction fault letting go. Both would be massive.
don't say "WE" i moved, i live in the southeast..the ash would black out the sun for a few days though on the whole planet, and magna etc would spew what about 300 miles? anything that breathes and lives outside would be effected, so it's kinda scary..but no gas yet so nothing on mainstream, incredible..
Agreed but by the time gas is spewing, it's to late. By the time the land is shifting, it's to late. I'm not worried of any of this though because what's meant to be will be. We all know the times we're living in right now and this unusual series of earthquakes and increased sun flare activity is evidence of this. Thank you for sharing.

I wonder how worried we have to be about the supervolcano in yellowstone right now? Some says its activity has increase over the past years.

you would have to ask someone about the earths gravity

Does this mean that yellowstone may erupt

i just read there's no gas spewing or land shift so not to worry yet

By the phrase "we are definitely in the zone" I meant the Time zone for probable historically timed events.
Ever been to Yellowstone? I was there in 2007 and even though the beauty is awe inspiring, my knowledge of what it represented dumbfounded me.
BTW, A Yellowstone event will precipitate a global die off and most likely a moderate to strong Ice Age. Good luck to all in surviving that.
