  • Had to be a nuclear case. I always thought that the girl and the other Irish guy worked in the IRA

  • what is the music in 4.08 and then? Am trying to find how its called.... Does anyone knows? Its repeating in the movie sometimes...

    Thank a lot!

Good Movie and Good Job with the upload!

  • I.R.A. are gone, done and dusted, no place at the table even for the criminals who porported to be I.R.A., in the end it was just criminals, gangsters hanging on the shirt tails of the cause & the cause was bankrupt....folks just wanted to get on, no be brainwashed with shite.

  • Thanks for uploading.

  • Sequels are usually a disappointment but this movie just begged for one. With Robert De Niro and Jean Reno it might have worked.

  • Thank you Great Film to stumble upon.

  • the TWIST was that De Nero was always a undercover agent

  • Although i know its almost painful to wonder what the hell is in that suitcase...it almost makes it even cooler. as if your imagination is in the suitcase, whatever it is, it never mattered, the point is so many countries want their hands on it and will kill for it.

I sorta imagine as instructions on how to build the ultimate WMD (then again, wouldnt there be copies?).

  • @mhaze210 my guess is it's a nuclear briefcase.

  • @neeraj2608 I personally reckon it was just drugs, or if not then Diamonds - either which could be sold to provide funds to buy weapons to continue the struggle in Northern Ireland

  • @CaptainHollister

Your guess is as good as mine, but with what the IRA is spending in the movie, it doesn't look like they're short of cash.

I think that a nuke (and a portable one at that) would be a much more valuable prize for terrorists than drugs/diamonds (which surely have more peddlers than nuclear weapons). Also, the Russians are involved (one of the prime potential sources of stray nukes).

But hey, it's a movie! So if you think drugs/diamonds, so be it! :-)

    Thanks for uploading.

  • @neeraj2608 On a historical note, the IRA initially derived funding from Irish-American sympathizers and Libya. Then they moved on to laundering these monies via taxi firms, hotels, bars and clubs so that they wouldn't have to rely solely on donations.

  • @CaptainHollister Its definitely neither of those, something much more global or/and significant, something that may impact the world and change it towards a different direction, something that can be sold for billions of dollars.

  • Thanks CaptainHollister the upload was very mucha ppreciated loved the movie

    Cheers

    Calais2005

  • the romance in this movie was unconvincing & usless

  • thanks for posting this classic movie

  • thnxxx man , but what was in the case?

  • @romanticc87 i don't remember ...

    keep in touch

  • WHAT'S IN THE CASE?

  • @THX1205 another question...what's in the case from Pulp fiction ;D ha ha xD

  • thanks for posting..it's a profound movie! will always love it!..

  • 1:50 thats the Deniro look lol

  • @762full i get the feeling he gets an extra $20,000 for everytime he does that trademark lol.

"Robert, were gonna need about a dozen De Niro-frowns for this movie, it'll be worth it".

MAYBE.........in the suitcase, was the directions on how to frown just like Robert De Niro (what every man dreams of).

  • LOL !! Sean Bean was typecast in lord of the rings, boromir and this character are basically the same, weak minded and good bluffers......ANYWAY this is one of the most SOLID movies i've seen in a while, really one of the best......there was no over the top action sequences and hardly a unbelievable part in this movie.....it had an authentic feel that is jus hard to describe, there's also a great deal of intelect in this movie.......GREAT MOVIE 10 out of 10 in my book

  • ok a great film but all the northern irish stuff was pure gay it is a very complex and detailed issue and killing one man would not make the slightest difference

Also, the IRA are not the military wing of Sinn Fein, thats just fucking stupid

  • Almost everybody got shot in this movie LOL!! Robert di niro twice being a protoganist.

  • great movie - thanks for sharing Captain Hollister

  • Jean Reno and de Niro complement each other very well in this movie. Great plot

  • Great movie. Love Frankenheimer.

  • спасибо!!!

  • tHERE WAS A nUCLEAR tRIGGER IN THE CASE. At least thats what Shamus and the Ruskys thought.

  • this is one of the best movies i've ever seen. And the ending is GREAT.

  • Jean Reno and Stella Skarsgård is great actors on the big screen !

  • What was in the case?

  • i don't remember

  • Awright, Jean Reno is alive and all is we- Dammit.

  • What a great film! Excellent action, narrative and locations!

  • thanks for posting, captain. greatly appreciated

  • Jean Reno is GREAT

  • This is definitely my favorite movie. I've lost count of how many times I've watched this. If we had a more intelligent society, there would be more movies like this. 5*

  • @bumermerc yeah but now dumb hot chicks sprawled over bikes fighting transfomers is all the rage now.....

  • Thank you Captain Hollister.

  • Thanks for posting. I love the way thios movie ends. All thrillers nowadays feel like they need to throw in a bunch of twists at the end to try and suprise you. This was more authentic, no crazy twists and conspiracies, no wild romance at the end. I would imagine that if this was the life you had it would end up this way always. Great Movie!!

  • no twists and conspiracies?

maybe you slept through the ending.

he never left the CIA, he came for seamus, he somehow ended the troubles in northern ireland???

as for romance - in the directors cut he gives the blonde one up the arse before he has his tea. :D

  • @CMLAFLAMME If you haven't seen it already, check out the alternate ending on the DVD. It does give another twist, but I still prefer the movie as is.

  • @franklyn1996 Me too. the cut ending I think would have spoiled it slightly, but not by much. I preferred it like this though

  • excellent stuff. cheers mate.

  • good stuff holister,your a legend

  • Thanks for posting CaptainHollister

  • You're welcome :-)
