@corvetteboy10 your one of the few that got a good 2.8L v6 i had a 1989 chevy camaro rs with the 5.0L 305ci tbi v8 it was in the family sicne new my dad gave it to me in 1998 for my first car with 194,000 miles on it and i had it untill 2004 and it had alittle over 297,000 and it still ran great didnt leak or burn a drop of oil i sold it and got my 1994 z28 with a 5.7L LT1 350ci

@corvetteboy10 the gm 305ci didnt have the power like the 5.7L lt1 350 had did but i tell ya that 89 camaro with the 305ci was one of the most relieable cars i ever had thay say the gm 305s had issues with haveing soft lopes on the cam but i never had any issues i use to change the oil every 2,000 miles or 3 months what ever came first i never wait to 3,000 miles to change it what alot of pepole dont relies keeping clean oil in the motor and you dont red line it it will last

@bomexsaturn My 78 camaro isnt stock it has a rebuild 383 stroker in it and all restored. And i never said thoes blazers wernt rust buckets but once in a while there is that one good one plus thoes 4.3 vortecs run forever my sis has a 1997 blazer with 345,000 miles on it and still running strong.
@1978camarolt 383 stroke = win. and u are correct on the "once in a while" theory...the 1st one i had lasted till over 300k, and the next 5 were junk lol...i guess it all comes down to how it was maintained. we made sure this blazer was junk before we destoryed it...rusty and bad headgaskets, plus a rod knock and bad transfer case i believe.
