I own both games, BF3 for PC and MW3 for xbox. I have always enjoyed the Battlefield series, but at the end of the day, MW3 is just more fast-paced fun and keeps me entertained for longer than BF3 does. BF3 was also more like the Bad Company games, which is a mark against it in my book. I was hoping it would harken back to the days of BF2, but sadly it did not.
It's sad that I knew which game he preferred by the number of likes. MW3 fanboys aren't as dedicated to whining on forums and videos as BF3 fanboys. I guess they're having too much fun playing the games.

@lilbrave12370 Okay. I've been in the industry for sometime. My proficiencies are writing, modeling, and basic programming (C, # & ++, and JavaScript, learning Java). I have to say, BF2's graphics can't even compare to BF3's. While it's simple enough to say that they're not using the same engine, I'll tell you what is different. The lighting is fantastic, although (in my humble opinion) it's not dynamic like Crysis' it's still considerably better than BF2. Not to mention the graphics as a whole.

@lilbrave12370 I think what it is, is the artwork. It's, basically, the same. To better illustrate this, think of the video game Borderlands. The graphics have some heavy cel shading (like a comic book). Now, for Borderlands 2, you can't really if the graphics were really all that improved. Why? Because the same people, and the same exact artwork was used. While BF2 & 3 are on completely different graphical levels, in your defense, it's similar in some ways.
@lilbrave12370 Huge differences would have to be the lighting, and shading. While most is pre-rendered (because if it wasn't in multiplayer it'd bog down your machine) is still really good. The sound is also very dynamic, which is pretty new. They're capable of doing all this... Plus tanks, jets, and other smaller vehicles, on one hugely dynamic map... I really don't know how they do it.
battlefield3 = great graphics, thats about it, gameplay is boring, no one uses team work nothing but vehicle whores. im not gonna say mw3 is better but thats why i dont like battlefield. once ive seen a building blow up once it preety much loses its flare.

@eftultima I climb into a tank my team mate goes into the tank with me controlling the turret. While that's happening another team helps me out one of them starts repairing the tank and the others start giving suppressive fire on the enemy while we are trying to take the objective. BF3 has some true and fun co-operative gameplay in the multiplayer. If your whole squad (4) has head sets, you are most likely to become the best of friends after a few rounds of any game type. COD however has all the basics but the true problem is that the players of COD are not as friendly as the players of BF3. They will call you names that come with no constructive criticism for your team. BF3 is the better community, therefore the better game.

im getting both because you need a fast paced game (mw3) and a slow paced game (bf3). no matter which cod it is, it will always be fun and never boring except for black ops.
I think console wise the games are almost even. I consider Console platforms casual play. Yea I know there are compeititions through consoles but im talking strictly about the hardware not players. But when you get into the PC versions of MW3 and BF3 they are no wheres close to even BF3 wins triple time over. War Tapes, Visuals, Vehicals, 64 players and years of unlocks / perks makes Battlefield 3 the winner hands down on the PC platform. MW3 will still be awesome but BF3 is the clear winner.
While I see why everyone is comparing the two games, they are very very different. MW3 Is a fast pace arcadey shooter while BF3 is slower and more strategic and objective based, with a few exceptions of course for certain maps and the new TDM mode (new to battlefield anyway), but if I was to choose one, it would have to be Battlefield because I am a vet of the series. Very much looking forward to the game.
your framerate comparison is only applicable on the consoles. PC's will get better frames and if your running sli video cards you can expect better then 60fps on both games.. Im getting both. Im a PC gamer and the only thing that i see mw3 beating BF3 in is the fact that they will have LAN support and I like lan partys. Other then that BF3 will destroy the competition!

Im sorry but MW3 cant match BF3 on a number of levels, the frostbite 2 engine really is awesome. having played the Alpha and really looking forward to the BETA, its a vast improvement on badcompany 2 (already a great game) therefore making it instantly more powerful and impressive than the repetative and same old of COD.... ta xx

Thank you for actually pointing out the fact of why MW3 can achieve 60 FPS so easily...I never understood why they would use that as a selling point of emphasis for MW3.
At the end of the day I will still be getting BF3. MW3 looks like MW2 with a few tid bits added in. Not much more to say. If people want Infinity Ward to make better games and step it up a bit, don't buy their game in November and maybe they will bonk themselves on the head and think "oh shit, maybe we better do better"...

@KnaawzR mainly becuase COD has more fanboys then battlefield and is a more easy game to master now COD is good and i will get MW3 later on but battlefield 3 has been in the making since the release of battlefield 2 in 2004 this shows the game will have better features but the decision of witch game is better is all opinion I say battlefield is better but other people think otherwise and thats fine so play modern warfare and ill be playing battlefield

Battlefield 3 is a game everybody is getting excited for, but in the end, everybody will just fall back to Modern Warfare 3 bcuz it never gets old unlike Battlefield games. They're so slow paced and get boring if you don't have any friends online.

See the mass media's aren't telling the whole story, IW's founders and half of the staff left the company after getting ripped off and jerked out of salary bonuses following MW2. I think console wise the games are almost even. I consider Console platforms casual play. Yea I know there are compeititions through consoles but im talking strictly about the hardware not players. But when you get into the PC versions of MW3 and BF3 they are no wheres close to even BF3 wins triple time over. War Tapes, Visuals, Vehicals, 64 players and years of unlocks / perks makes Battlefield 3 the winner hands down on the PC platform. MW3 will still be awesome but BF3 is the clear winner.

While I see why everyone is comparing the two games, they are very very different. MW3 Is a fast pace arcadey shooter while BF3 is slower and more strategic and objective based, with a few exceptions of course for certain maps and the new TDM mode (new to battlefield anyway), but if I was to choose one, it would have to be Battlefield because I am a vet of the series. Very much looking forward to the game.

your framerate comparison is only applicable on the consoles. PC's will get better frames and if your running sli video cards you can expect better then 60fps on both games.. Im getting both. Im a PC gamer and the only thing that i see mw3 beating BF3 in is the fact that they will have LAN support and I like lan partys. Other then that BF3 will destroy the competition!
