I find that most nations that have the word "democratic" often are the complete opposite. For example, take the old Communist East Germany, "Deutsche Demokratische Republik". Wasn't the only democratic thing about that government their name?
If we try to compare the countries with the word "democratic" in their name with how they are actually run, you might find a few exceptions, but most of them are horribly misnamed in my opinion. Same goes for the phrase "Fair & Balanced".

I am now an independent. Neither party holds the entire truth or steps aside long enough for other party views to be heard. All of this can be contributed to the fact Reagan threw out the "Fairness Doctrine" in 1984 which required communications to truly be "fair and balanced." None of these mega-corporate news outlets are truly objective (CNN, MSNBC, FAUX). But look back at history people. Ronald Wilson Reagan was the true anti-christ (666) who ushered in this agenda which allows Fox to be Faux in the first place. Don't trust people who love Reagan (Giulliani). Whether that is true or not - and it isn't - the problem is that reality itself and consequently, the world we live in, has a liberal bias. This is simply another way of saying that the Republican view - whatever that is - is largely detached from reality. The equivalent would be arguing for 22min that the world is flat and having one guest say that the world is round.

But to say it's fair and balanced is simply not true. At least ABC, NBC, and CBS are honest about their liberal bias, time for Fox to own up to their bias.

Look at what Petraeus says instead of how he said it. He talks about a turning tide, wooopie, if it continues like that the military will be out of Iraq in 2013. Many (mostly Bush lovers) don't understand that under our Constitution, the military does not set foreign policy nor their mission. Congress and the president do. So "supporting the troops" doesn't mean you support the current preznut and vice versa. Some think disagreeing with BushCo is not supporting the troops - a bizarre notion. This is so fundamental it's amazing how many don't get it (some 25% right now).

There have been a few retired generals that have served during this fools presidency that have stated that the war is going nowhere. Dick Cheney in 1994 said it would be a big mistake to invade Iraq. This general is under so much pressure by this failing administration to create a false hope. I commend his service to the USA but he is having his strings pulled by the administration in power.
