Thanks for posting these videos. Boy, it looks like fun :) Would you please post some specs of te machine like maximum takeoff weight, max speed, max height, flight endurance, type of propulsion, what kind of fuel does it use, operating costs and would it operate in extreme high temperature. I live in far north of S-Africa where temp easily get to 44C and extreme humidity. This heli could e just the thing for anti-poaching patrolling.
@hahno455 I lower the throttle to enter auto-rotation. I'm not very good or experience doing autos but keep trying since it's the safe way to the ground if the engine quits. So far so good but it's pretty scary thinking someday it'll be for-real.
@sosoasian Correct, it's an ultralight. The FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) FAR (Federal Aviation Regulations) CFR (Code of Federal Regulations) Title 14 ( Aeronautics and Space), Part 103 - Ultralight Vehicles, . 103.7 ... (b) ... operators of ultralight vehicles are not required to meet any aeronautical knowledge, age, or experience requirements to operate those vehicles or to have airman or medical certificates.

what are thease things worth and it seems you neeed to learn how to fly them your self know . what info would you give to me if i was in the market for sum like this or a 2 seater thanks
just wondering, from reading the written information were you "behind" the aircraft, would a go around have been better? Just thinking out loud, i'm such a saftey geek sorry.
Larry, I'm really impressed with your work so far, and I have to say you made me dream about flying like I used to when I was a kid :) Keep it up and take good care!
Tough to fly that thing when your massive balls get in the way. That thing looks like quick death, but fun!

Your neighbors ever get ticked off at you?

@Mrcaffinebean Neighbors are cool. I do my best to not bug them and trust that if there's a problem they tell me about it before taking aim.

Why do you lower your throttle? Wouldn't you just lower your collective until touch down, and then lower your engine RPM?

yo Larry, so am I correct in saying that your particular model of the Mosquito aircraft line does not require a FAA pilot's license?

Still looks so fun, be safe!

Yes, engine RPM got too low to hover. I don't think my rotor rpm got too high, I may have been able to lower collective more in the approach.

Still have it - ready to fly. It's just that when I have the choice of what to fly --- it's always been the Mosquito, because it's 10 time for fun.

Another great video! (Also, what happened to the turbine powered fixed wing you had?)
