The Fenix L2D Q5 has been updated by the Fenix LD20 Q5. Make sure you order the latest model online. The old model is still available but costs almost the same as the newer LD20..
the newer model (ld20) has better knurling and has longer runtimes in the low med and high settings than the l2d. it has a lower low setting, but also a lower med and high setting than the l2d.
however, the ld20 has a Shorter runtime 2hrs compared to the 2hrs on the l2d for the turbo setting... that in itself is persuading me to get the l2d. but of course, to each his own
I ordered the CE version 3 weeks ago. I agree, it is very bright. I do not know flashlights much, and I realized a few days later that the more expensive Q5 light was available so I ordered it. A 33% increase in brightness is surprising. The CE version would have been a very good choice too.
I just got this light today, and am so not impressed.I'm pissed I spent this much money on a flashlight.Seriously take it from me, if you want bright, buy a $10 rechargable million candle power, which I have and totally outhrows this waste, if you want compact, get a led maglite, hell buy both and your still spending half as much as this "talked up" flashlight.
dude go suck your self.if you want a good torch get a fenix. the last long and there brighter than those crappy wal-mart things.dude just save up some money and get a decent torch.i personally like the T1 it soots me well
does anyone know the name of a powerful flashlight that is also powered by a dynamo?

They both put our 180L...the run time is a bit better but both lights perform the same. I just ordered a L2D Q5

Great flashlight! I have the older version (the L2D CE) which is still plenty bright. Solid performing flashlight.

Maglite is miles behind Fenix in LED technology.Fenix add the newest LEDs and they makes a much better use of energy, so there's no comparison.

I just bought the L2D Q5. It's more practical then the P3D, besides the difference between 180 and 215 lumens isn't that much.

hi,
im trying to choice between the L2D CE,
200 lumen premium, and the p3d ce 215 Lumen,
i like the p2d ce 180 Lumens, because
burn time longer and it take easy to get AA,
could you do a comparison test of these three please,
out side night time beam shots,
aimed at a far away object,
thanks,
