This is actually the eruption at Fimmvörðuháls, it's right next to Eyjafjallajökull and was a precursor to the big eruption there. There is very little footage of lava from the Eyjafjallajökull eruption since it was mostly covered in giant plumes of ash.

I had a great idea:

The Science should invent a system to install an instantaneous kind of giant filter around any volcano so the ashes could not go out from that filter. In that way they could even save the humanity in case of an constant in time eruption volcano like that. Also save the flight traffic. I think It should not be so difficult. The same airlines companies could be the sponsors for that research ;)

Whatever falls to the west eventually (hundreds of millions of years later) ends up in Canada, and whatever falls to the east of the fissure ends up in Europe.
