You are absolutely right. Some may defend him as being a "solo artist" but even solo artist need to make good musical collaboration with rest of band members. Because he may be a good guitar virtuoso, it still is about music more than just guitar playing. He is simply incapable to occasionally step back and let other members take the spot. He plays good within his limited options but he's a horrible musical collaborator which its problem relate with his attitudes as you noted.

it was a 50 watt valve amp which was included in the deal but it was 2007 when i bought it i got the date wrong by a year and the prices since then have sky rocketed mind you i did get a standard used mexican telecaster for 250 pounds a few weeks ago and it plays like a new guitar and ive seen usa strats for 500 pounds so there are still some great bargains around just be carefull buying from ebay its a bit of a gamble
I LOVE the way he throws it in the car! The idea is that it's another TOOL in the toolbox. These guitars are built like tanks. They have been through much worse than that. If anything it's worth MORE now that it has been in his hands.
I've got all the respect in the world for his musicianship, but he has a "teenage" attitude and he always seems to be drunk. But no one can deny that he is a master guitarplayer. I just wonder what he could do sober and without the "muhammad ali " attitude ...
@stringmanipulator He is actually a very nice guy, as is Muhamed Ali, Its very hard to be yourself when you are being vidied or Photographed when you are an entertainer. He is not really like that, but the laughter in the video is what he was after. Imagine Mr. Spock if you will, in the same video. It would be quite boring.

Yngwie has a bad ass attitude. That's partly why he is so great. It's the attitude. Look at his modern counterparts. Synyster Gates acts like a little douche when he gives a lesson video. Nervous as shit. He won't be remembered like Yngwie.
however, sweep picking a pre-cbs beauty like that is pretty heinous, particularly when your hitting mostly ghost notes. Should be playing a performance guitar or some shit, leave the golden oldies to people who will make use of them, frusciante for example.

@rymeandreason The guitar being i a hard case was probably fine. I, er, don't take very good care of my instruments and i can vouch for the ability of hard cases to protect guitars from most things. Admittedly, if I had just spent £3500 on a guitar, the first thing i would do probably wouldn't be to throw it though :p
