I still miss the free admission to all the parks, especially Epcot, and I really enjoyed the program even at its most frustrating times. (July 4th perion, crowded, mean guest, and the fact that a friend and co-worker died really didn't help.) Needless to say, it was an unforgettable experience, and now, everything is a bit dull in comparison.
and Justin, this guy isn't lying either. he was actually my neighbor. with any line of work you'll see what the cast members do behind the wall of pixie dust, and you'll see how far down things go. you'll have fun, but work can be very, VERY stressing. im not saying this to discount the college program, but I think you should have an idea of what to expect. if you have any questions, feel free to ask either me or my buddy there.
Well I know what it is like to have a crappy job for sure, I work in a grocery store-YUCK! Its boring, its busy, its tiring, there is bad music, angry customers and has 100% no Dinsey feeling-WAIT I take that back they do play disney songs, like the ones that get played durring the credits of the movie. So that gives me a little relief,
you dont know crap jobs. i drove snowplows all winter for $13/hr and when the season slowed, i got various jobs with job agencies, the most recent being one where i looked at state tests to make sure that the bubbles were filled in properly before they were put through an electronic scanner which corrected it anyway. now that the city's done with that job, i'll work at a call center. its office space. so what stories of customers do you have?
After baking for nearly 3 months, I moved over to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, where I got to observe every little detail on and around the attraction, all while playing god behind the console. (Granted, the computers kept everything perfectly sound until a raindrop would trip our intrusion scanners!)
Though Randy Newman grates on my nerves, I'm gonna have to agree with blueeyedevilguy and say that the Disney College Program was awesome. I also started in Custodial cleaning up human excrement and answering the legendary inane questions such as "Where's the Monorail?" query. (Keep in mind that the monorail actually was directly above the person asking the question.)
i was there for a whole year. i worked in custodial in Epcot World Showcase, then did operations in Tomorrowland. You can go down there on a college internship..thats what i did. Looking at you i think you might be able to land a job as Peter Pan. You'll work long hard hours but the experience is worth it. Keep up the good work man.
Gee thanks! Yeah I have a couple of friends who are doing that internship right now! They love it! Thanks for the great feedback but I am almost 6 ft tall so I could not be a charachter, but I would just love working in a gift shop or something like that.
you can still find something as another character if you want. merchandising, depending where you go, can suck. if you end up at the emporium, youll have my pity
lol wat made me laugh was that he is supposed to be all little kidish yet his walls are full of half naked women lol
