how to make a REAL minecraft dome

@Thststth using the MS paint trick is kinda like rounding then rounding again then rounding again. If you look at the sphere from the six cardinal minecraft directions, it should be identical. From the MS paint trick, you get the north south easy and west views the same, then the top and bottom views different for the other four.

sry, but working with paint is accurate. did a 161 diameter ground layer up to 64 blocks high and it is absolutely correct. maybe your one is just to small to look "correct"

My method is to make two intersecting parabolas of the same curvature and simply fill in the rest.

The way I do it is I use ms paint to get a circle with my desired radius and make that on the ground. I then use half of the circle and put it like a rainbow over the circle from north to south. I then do the same from esat to west. Then I have the structure of the dome. Then I fill in the gaps. Hope that helps

I did the MS paint trick, but I started with the largest circle and traced it in blocks in all 3 dimensions, then started stepping down and tracing them all in all 3 dimensions. so it made a sphere that way. It hurt my brain after a while though. Nice dome.

@bradkrit I thought about how to do that, but this trick about this program is that it uses the radius to determine whether a block should be included or not. Also, you can make even better ones with half slab stones by setting the z dimension of the block to .5
