The Taliban were under crushing sanctions at the time, their reason for saying "F you" to the world by destroying the Buddhas of Bamyan in MARCH, 2001 (<30 days after the OBL offer mentioned). Then explain flight 77's maneuver before it hit the Pentagon. Those "hijackers" couldn't even fly a Cessna straight and level (Hani Hanjour in particular). Whoever performed the turning descent did what only a Boeing test pilot could have done...anyone else would've ripped the wings off trying to do that in a 757. Even the air traffic controllers said they thought it was a military plane, based on what they saw on the radar screen.

The hard facts are this...three steel framed buildings collapsed on 9/11 due to fire, which has NEVER happened in history. WTC 7 is not addressed in the 9/11 Comission report. The hijackers couldn't fly a goddamned kite. There was no military intercept over DC.

9/11 was a crime. To say its not important to investigate a crime is just as bad, to me, as allowing it to happen. Their 'investigation' left out a lot of unanswered questions to a lot of people. For one thing, consider who was almost appointed to head the commission: Henry Kissinger!
Before 9/11 ever happened, Bush's admin was looking to get into a conflict with Saddam. To deny Iraq was never an agenda would be silly considering who we're talking about is in charge.

It would matter who was responsible if the people who had carried out the attack were the same ones who we then placed in charge of protecting us from further attacks, and who then used those attacks as an excuse to push their fascist agenda. But I do think the 9/11 truthers perhaps spend a bit too much time thinking about something which is in the past when the same government is planning new 9/11's in the future.

Afghanistan was & is one of the world's poorest countries. The Taliban were under crushing sanctions at the time, their reason for saying "F you" to the world by destroying the Buddhas of Bamyan in MARCH, 2001 (<30 days after the OBL offer mentioned). OBL was already a pariah kicked out of a couple of other nations and a leader of his own movement. Given the Taliban's situation, incl. their wish to destroy the opium trade & get greater regime stability, trading OBL for aid was a great solution.
