that's awesome. i live just north of there, in chico, ca. have caught many large stripers and buckets on the sac., but an 8 lb. biggy is rare, at least up my way. kudos for release. need more folks to do the same to preseve the spawning future. good job guys.

@reignman2112 I might sound completely ignorant, (and I kinda am) but isn't that why the F&G imposes limit laws on folks? So that people can keep them and also maintain a healthy spawning population thus avoiding depletion?
