First off, moon's grand children have been married to non-koreans.

As to why his direct children weren't matched to non-koreans - think about the time. The movement was still something relatively new in America, and if you get married to his children, you got to be one serious member that's really devoted, and additionally, you've got to be about their age. Most of his children were married to the children of those who began following him very early on in Korea.
