Typical american-animation related screw-up. They don't know what age group to show it to. At first, it's supposed to be mature enough for older people to watch it. On the other hand, it's a cartoon, and we all know cartoons are for kids. Well according to Turner anyway. Many good american animations failed because of this. One of the reasons Anime is so successful. The people making that know their target demographic.
