This song reminds me of my father I lost in 2009 I was in fith grade an straight a and b student now I'm currently in eighth and have a few c's I have struggled without him by my side I've made bad choices and I never thought I could live without him I miss him more than anything and this song was always one of his faveorites and I wish he could come back home..

This song was a blessing to us all and I thank the Pat McGee Band for writing it, for playing it for us when we came back home seeing them live in concert at the Wolf Trap, and for putting together this video. I am so grateful. Even with the worst of memories, I miss and love my men and women of 1st Platoon. I wish I could've done more, and for that I live with regrets. i wanted to join the marines since like 8thgrade and now as I am about to graduate from high school i tough of joining but i rather go first to college and then after 4 years of college i will most likely join as an officer.

you should do NROTC Marine Option. it's a great opportunity and they can pay for your schooling and then you will commission as an officer.

Yes, by doing NROTC Marine Option you would graduate as a 2nd Lt after graduation. The summer before your senior year you also go to OCS. That is something just for the Marines Options. If you are just navy then you go on a regular cruise, but no OCS.
