  • this guy is amazing, fell in love with his music the second i heard it.

  • I love you UK!! Thank you for the awesomeness :)

  • This song brings me so many memories... So good and yet so painful.

  • James Blake ? I love you !

  • 1:40 just amazing

  • mane, this white boy is very talented. Damn, this is so refreshing to my ears. This is some truly innovative music here. How do you define such a sound? This is my first time putting my ears on this artist, and all I can be is wowed in amazement by these damn near if not perfect pieces!!

  • can anyone let me know what their interpretation of this song is? like what they think his lyrics mean?

  • @cygnus2015 like your comment!

  • james blake is addictive

  • lllllloooooveeeeeeeeeeeee U <3

  • there really needs to be a way for those of us in the states to be able to purchase this - my collection is almost complete, save this gorgeous song!

  • This may be my favorite song by James, too bad he never plays it live. Anyone know the chords?

  • I have listened to this song at least 20 times in a row! He could make a whole CD of slow jams

  • "the content owner has not made this video available on mobile phones " why would you do that?

  • when ur high , this song feels like a trip to the galaxy :::::::)

  • this is A +

  • can you see the dislike bar? neither can I.

  • GORGEOUS!

  • where can you buy this song for your ipod??? please respond :)

  • @emmab51998 Recordstores, iTunes or download from piratebay and buy it afterwards if you don't wanna wait. It is illegal though to download.

  • Tbh if you're a true music fan, you shouldn't like most of the charts stuff, it's all about finding real unknown talent , such as Ben Howard who eventually become big! most chart music is just all mainstream stuff mainly pop and the odd occasion of a good band!

  • I Really Think That It Doesn't Matter What Continent You're From.. Its Just Your Taste Of Music That Counts.. I'm From London, UK And I Think That There Are Some Really Cool Music Over In The USA.. Can Everyone Stop Talking About Which Side Is Better And Enjoy This WONDERFUL Music..

  • @LondonBaby09 Your capital letters piss me off.

  • 9 people are truly unlucky

  • chill,lovin this

  • chills, are what I get when listening to this. I can't help but think about my recently deceased aunt who strongly believed in luck, hah, (bingo lover) I miss you aunty. Omg, I'm crying.

  • I really dislike this.

  • does anybody know the PROPER lyrics?

  • I <3 james black, but all his shit has the same ominous sounds.

  • @blackReader19 Black?

  • @blackReader19... sorry

  • @SDsEntertainment meant blake

  • Doesn't anybody Anthony and the Johnsons? This guy is good, but I have to disagree that he is different or original. Another one in the growing trend of imitating Anthony. Check him out.

  • the most impressive part of basically all of James Blake's music is the fact that you feel like there is a climax coming in the song and you keep focused so much, that when there is that slight drop, the transition is just ridiculously fluent and calm yet so intense

  • I wouldn't have discovered this song if I hadn't bought The Wilhelm Scream on vinyl. Vinyl needs to be bought back!

  • J'adore cet song.

  • Thank god i stumbled across James Blake and Azad Right .. i dont kno wat music id be playing right now if it wasnt for them

  • Wow. I just found this guy by mistake, and this is great. He's different. I'm a fan.

  • Dubstep does not equal the wub wub shit that's been plaguing the world recently.

  • There are two different types of Dubstep. European Dubsteb and American Dubstep. Us Americans LOVE the heavy drops, wobbles, etc. Get over it. We are across the frickin ocean, so why would you care. Keep your thoughts over there and entertain over there while we will entertain ourselves over here.

  • @jaws802 I'm over here in America with you and I think the type of dubstep you're talking about is complete shit. Stop stereotyping, I'm sure there's people over there that like the type your talking about. Also, people are entitled to share their opinions, so stop being an overly defensive prick.

  • @jaws802 You clearly have no idea as to what you're saying. Firstly don't come on to a James Blake track talking about dubstep or 2-step for that matter. And the whole UK/US dubstep genaralising is also so ridiculous. THe UK have also went 'mainstream' with dubstep, Just go and listen to any track on the new Example album. Just because the likes of Skrillex are producing some heavy ass, or if you like, 'brostep' tunes, doesn't mean theres '2 different types of dubstep'.. GO AND LISTEN TO SKREAM.

  • Not what I expected, but good.

  • I was told he was the "Prince Of Dubstep" I came here thinking there would be bass, and massive drops? Um, can someone tell me what I'm actually listening to?

  • @musicalLynn The massive drops are so understated that I don't know how he does it! This track is new to me too - check out The Wilhelm Scream and his mixes for some VERY cutting edge dubstep(?). I seriously admire his stuff though, cos he has the most amazing sense of timing ever - as evidenced more by the beats that he leaves out than the ones he leaves in (hence the awsome drops....). For me it's like he has put sound to the rhythm inside me. There. I said it. And I don't say that lightly!

  • @musicalLynn Just in case you didn't know there is a huge difference between "UK Dubstep" and "American Dubstep". What James Blake is doing is mixing soul with "pure" Dubstep. You probably thought that you were going to listen to some "Electro-dub rave" thing or whatever like Skrillex or Tek-One.

Not bitching to you or anything, I asked the same question before, I know how you feel.

P.S. He's called the "prince of Dubstep" because of some post-dubstep stuff he's going on or whatever.

  • this dude really needs to collab with the weeknd, would be EPIC!

  • he's like an English Wainwright

  • So simple but so stunningly beautiful!

  • I don't even go off US charts anymore...I look at the Europe charts now for good music. I see you UK.

  • @xMPCxx you are so right

  • @xMPCxx you think we have good music in the charts?! the uk has the worst music ever recorded in history in the top 40. im ashamed that my generation listen to such rubbish

  • @aidanbk you're probably right. But the UK still makes the most great music regardless of the charts. That's not to say that a lot of other countries don't make a lot of great music.. only it just seems like musicians in the UK experiment a lot and are successful in doing so :)

  • @aidanbk Truly ashamed?

  • @FlakeyFreakout indeed

  • @aidanbk Well I was going call you an old fuddy duddy who wore the most rose tinted of spectacles, but then the name Maverick Sabre popped into my head.

  • @FlakeyFreakout hahaha, i just think that the top 40 actually used to be something you could trust, but now 90% of it is house beats accompanying women singing about how they're going to have a 'really good time tonight'. it just gets boring, dont you agree?

  • @aidanbk Sadly,yes I do.

  • @xMPCxx Agreed. US music = pure garbage. Europe is where it is at.

  • @xMPCxx Our charts are absolute tripe for the most part as well. We currently have Rihanna and Flo Rida on top. It sounds poncey, but pretty much anything in any chart is gonna be shite.

  • @MikeJHoyle Trust, me it's better than the US... Haha, all we have is club/dance music.. not even decent pop

  • @xMPCxx Oh god, I don't look at the UK charts. Ke$ha?! David Guetta?! Garbage. I just randomly stumble across things in many ways and talk to friends with good taste!

  • @xMPCxx We See You Too.. Lol :)

  • @xMPCxx Totally true with me too.

  • @xMPCxx UK charts are not a good place to look...in fact no charts are....follow your ears .

  • @irvybear very well said

  • @xMPCxx Just don't listen to the chart shit over here, some of it is ok but the rest is just awful :)

  • shivers

  • This is beautiful, where has this fool been all my life ? He's answered all my unanswered questions with music. What a fucking song man.

  • So hipster, you cant understand what he's saying... joke i love james blake haha

  • I just got goose bumps..

  • right when i'd given up on real music. Hats off to you my friend... you've brought my hope back...

  • strains of antony hegarty

  • i think the best part of james blake's collection is that there are no frills, every sound is necessary.

  • everytime time i hear it i feel like somebody is talking to me. hypnotizing. moving. touching. right to my soul

  • From The Projects Of Inglewood,CA

    Job Well Done

  • Only thing wrong with this song is IT'S NOT LONG ENOUGH ! =(

  • @musicforlove856 i find myself saying that about a lot of his songs!

  • this is literally beautiful!

  • yawn-fest

  • someone help me out, anyone know what the remix is of this that starts out the dbridge boiler room mix?

  • @calumjlindsay James Blake - What Was It You Said About Luck (Joy Orbison Remix)

  • thank you entourage

  • One word. AMOEBA

  • This should have been the closer on the album.

  • @administramation it was if you got the itunes version

  • @Robinn07 itunes has tep and the logic as a bonus track, this is from the wilhelm scream single. :)

  • Most of the song actually sounds like the END of a track, when it mellows out. But I don't mind (no pun intended). It's unique.

  • The new Jeff?

  • @45696945 Il lui ressemble etrangement bcp!

  • What was it you said about luck...

Forfeit rights and ploughs to pluck

    From twenty-one miles of view

And things such not of being true.

But she likes it, to talk to you.

And you don't mind letting yourself through.

This is what I can make out from it... pretty rough approximation, might not make too much sense, but I had a shot, at least.
