  • That music at the start was almost as bad as christian rock...

  • Religion is a pathological lie. The more you investigate it, the more bs get's made up to cover the old bs until you're left with a steaming pile.

  • I surely am not the only one thinking she is a bit hot

  • Comment removed

  • Erathosenes calculated the circumference, not Aristophanes. And honestly, show me a verse where the authors of the Bible supported the intelligence or culture of the Greeks.

  • if the earth is flat, why does water go down the plughole clockwise in the UK but anti-clockwise in australia? surely if we were all on the same "plain", it should act the same for everybody.

  • @MindCrazedBanjo Actually toilets spin different directions everywhere, it's dependent on the toilet manufacturer.

  • @unFortunatepoint0 of course I think you know this isn't really about toilets although I doubt theres a toilet in Australia that makes the water go round in the opposite direction. So lets ditch toilets and swap them for funnels, water going down a funnel is different depending which hemisphere your on, I believe its called The Coriolis effect. The flatearth society don't believe people live on the underside of the planet, therefore this is proof the Earth is round.

  • @MindCrazedBanjo Actually, the coriolis effect is nowhere near big enough to have an effect on spinning water. Do some research.

  • @Fortune2point0 i have, i phoned my sister in melbourne and she confirmed it for me, or maybe it hypnotised her and she got it wrong, maybe what we see isn't really there, maybe they have cyclones and anti-cyclones just to confuse us, one things for sure it keeps us all busy doesn't it.

  • @MindCrazedBanjo I can make my funnel spin water either direction I choose. Hurricanes are big enough to be affected indirectly by the Coriolis force (the Coriolis force actually applies to the air pressure which is what causes them to start spinning in a certain way).

  • @Fortune2point0 you must live on the equator then, and why have 2 names for cyclones? btw air pressure is only 1 dynamic stop acting dumb.

  • @MindCrazedBanjo I live in Canada. And I don't know why, just different levels of classification I guess (hurricanes are cyclones with wind speeds above 74mph). They're largely synonymous in current day colloquial language though.

And the difference in air pressure is what causes the wind to deflect one way or the other, determining which way the cyclone spins.

  • @MindCrazedBanjo There is proof that the Earth is round but it is not the water spinning in your toilet. The Coriolis effect isn't large enough to affect the water spinning.

The direction it spins is due to air currents and already existing water currents. Conservation of momentum causes those imperceptible currents to be amplified.

Good job avoiding his answer on the Coriolis effect THEN calling him dumb.

  • @Aviatorsmith /watch?v=Kk7sXkzmtp0

Have a look at this youtube vid then get back to me, you probably won't, trolls like you never do. Its well known about in the physics world the Coriolis effect, I should stick to what you know best your a bit out your depth on this subject, never mind good try.

  • @MindCrazedBanjo I looked at it. You are calling me a troll? The coriolis effect is too small to be experienced at such small scales, much less in the video at such low latitudes.

At that scale, angular momentum presides over the rotation of the water. Google "Bad coriolis" and click the first result. Read that article and get back to me, you probably won't, trolls like you never do.YOU are the one out of depth, my physics education isn't of your "high school" level. Stick to what you know.

  • @Aviatorsmith Your a troll because you don't care about proof or evidence anything like that you just make statements to provoke reaction, I've shown you a video that makes you look more stupid than you already are and you still persist in trying to argue the lost point.

  • @MindCrazedBanjo Did you even bother to read the thing I told you to read? YOU are the troll. I provided you with actual proof written by people with credentials unlike your video of an experiment not following the scientific method. Do some proper reading instead of trying to argue YOUR lost point.

Idiot. You are almost as bad as the people who don't accept the round earth theory.

  • @Aviatorsmith I don't feel the need to revise right now thats why I didn't read your subject matter, to busy arguing with trolls who can't believe their own eyes. I'll make it easy for you, suppose i drill a giant hole thru the earth, on the northern hemisphere water is going round and down the hole clock-wise, now! heres the tricky bit (for you) we move around to the Southern hemisphere and look we see the water exit in a counter-clockwise direction its just basic physics u numpty

  • @MindCrazedBanjo I have came to the conclusion that you are a troll. I have a bachelor's degree in physics and I understand the coriolis effect completely. Do the math properly and you would find that a sphere the size of the Earth will not have any measurable effect on small containers of water. Only atmospheric sized vats of fluids will have any noticeable change.

The effect in your experiment isn't the coriolis effect. It's the conservation of momentum WHICH WAS WHAT I WAS TRYING TO TELL YOU.

  • @Aviatorsmith your totally barmy and havn't got a clue what your talking about, you act as though stupidity were a virtue, you carry on thinking that the Earth has no influence on the water on this planet cos I couldn't be bothered with you. First it was angular momentum then it was conservation of energy make your mind up.

  • @MindCrazedBanjo Fucking troll, you're the one who's barmy. Read properly. I never once mentioned conservation of energy. I'm not thinking that the Earth has no influence of fluid motion. I just fucking said that the effects on small bodies of water is negligible.

Fucking read my whole comment properly and reply to ALL my points in the comment. If you can't understand simple english, don't insult my knowledge of physics. All your claims in your comments have been addressed in previous points.

  • @Aviatorsmith your hysterical and need a check-up from the neck-up!

  • @MindCrazedBanjo Ad hominem fallacy. Good job losing the argument.

  • @Aviatorsmith lol. I always laugh when someone just names a logical fallacy with nothing else... PWNED!

  • @ultim4t32 I always laugh when someone just says pwned. The phrase speaks for itself.

  • @Aviatorsmith You'll learn!

  • @Aviatorsmith Uh oh, now Aviatorsmith is unleashing evil science on us. Everyone knows that all of the scientists across the globe are in a singleminded anti christian conspiracy; and they work tirelessly to overcome the massive evidence in favor of god and creationism by using flimsy peer reviewed, testable, predictive science. BAH!

  • @Fortune2point0 He is unable to do any research nor see the points made against him. He can not understand any points raised and addresses nothing in his reply.

I guess he is indeed crazy like his username suggests.

  • There is no evidence whatsoever that people ever believed the earth was flat.

  • @NoahTheArkman I'm sure many people did believe the earth was flat. It appears to be flat, right?

  • @NoahTheArkman People still do! Check out the Flat Earth Society.

  • @MAYNEOFSTEEL Wrong, you're just another apologist making ad-hoc interpretations of scripture that appears to prove Biblical scientific foreknowledge. It was the scientists who did all the hard work, yet you would have your Bronze Age god steal credit fir it.

  • Flat?! Hah! The earth is round.. like a pancake.. and you need to rotate a pancake too!

  • @MAYNEOFSTEEL Until you can demonstrate the veracity of the Bible, quoting it is a waste of time.

  • He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in. (Isaiah 40:22)

Even the verse that mentions the world "circle" says it a flat earth. I think it's pretty much unquestionable that the authors believed the earth was flat.

  • @Zentz29 Where does it say the earth is Flat....wow...talking about injecting your bias....never read anywhere in the Bible the world is flat...atheists are a joke...

  • @RunColorado100 You are very stupid...

The bible says there is a tree that can be seen from anywhere in the world.

It says that satan showed Jesus the entire world from the top of a mountain.

The verse I quoted from says the earth is a circle and the heavens are stretched out above it like a tent. We both know that a tent has a flat bottom and a canopy stretched out above it.

There is more where that came from you sad little retard...

  • @Zentz29 3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

  • @Zentz29

5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:

6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

  • @Zentz29 No where it says that the earth is flat..you are just injecting your own ideas..lol..A fool says in his heart there is no God.....you are a fool.

  • @RunColorado100 The retards who wrote the bible thought it was flat, period.

Now run along you sad little waste of life...

  • @MAYNEOFSTEEL You can still be aware of cardinal directions without knowing the world was spherical...

  • It was I believe, Eratosthenes in 200bc who first worked out earth´s geometry?

  • @MAYNEOFSTEEL so why exactly should he beleive whats in the bible?

  • @MAYNEOFSTEEL: Oh, for the love of your space daddy. What a load of bs.

  • One way to prove this would be to point a telescope HORIZONTALLY across one of the oceans if the world is flat you should be able to see space right and the end of the world why doesnt one of them try this to prove their argument?

  • god acuatly gives clues in the bible that the earth isnt flat,

  • @meee2014

Like saying its' shape is like that of clay under a seal, that is has four corners and is held up by pillars, or that there's a bubble over it and god lives above?

  • @Ryakki the bubble is the atmosphere and it says that in the end times people will pop that bubble, i dont remeber reading thhe other part maybe you can give me the verse, in giving you a website: bibleandscience(dot)com it has some cool stuff and it will awnser most of your questions on the bible and creationism

  • @meee2014

I've heard all the apologetics arguments, trying to explain away the fantastic internal and external contradictions of the bible, and it's lack of agreement with reality... they're terrible. My only question is... how can anyone look at such a poorly written, obviously false document that's so out of date and without redeeming qualities... and decide to live their life based on it?

I could walk into a book store and choose a book at random and find more truth and moral guidance :(

  • @Ryakki in the bible it says that God put sort of an instinct in humans that we know deep from our hearts that there is a supernatural being thats why so many people are religous

  • @meee2014 just because a lot of people believe it doesn't make it true

  • @meee2014

    Congratulations! YOU FAIL!

The reason why so many people believe in a god is mainly because of forced conversion. For example, 500 years ago in South America, the Aztecs believed in their own gods. Until the Catholic Spaniards invaded and forced them, on pain of death, to convert, they were worshiping all sorts of things. Same thing goes for the West. The Church had power over people's lives during much of history so people believed out of fear, and through indoctrination.

  • @foojuice101 ok let me educate you the ''indians'' that the spainards converted did not stay converted lot ran away, and only a small fraction where taken into monstreys, before the medievel times there was so much christians in the roman empire that nero ordered the killing of all of them after nero died the next emporer accepetd christanity as the officail religon of rome in communist russia and china the goverment killed all christan or sent them to labor camps yet many people still converted

  • @meee2014

    1. The AZTECS who opposed the Catholics were executed. Okay? And if there were, as you say, massive amounts of escapees going off an practicing their religion, don't you think that their religion would still be evident today?

    2. I think you missed the part where this new emperor killed all non-Christians.

    3. China and Russia had state religions. Under oppression, people tend to stick to their guns hence, why people were still Christian.

I think you're the one who needs an education.

  • @foojuice101 1st off dont teach me on communist opression my father, grandfather, greatgrand father, where all christain under the soviet rule they killed my great grandfather and took his whole estate, my grandfather spent many years in prison for simply being christian my father was also brutalized in the army and in prison for being christian, christians in soviet russia and china didnt fight back with guns or any violence maybe the crazy orthobox christains did but they where a small majority

  • @meee2014

Wow. And you think that secularists did this because "omg, they're secularists"? Look mate, I'm sorry for what happened to your family but seriously, you can't say that just say: "Well, Stalin was atheist and he murdered people so therefore; all atheists are murderers" That argument just doesn't work in proper debate. Actually, it doesn't work at all.

  • @foojuice101 continued, russia and china didnt have any religon they both where strictly athiest under communist rule. the new emporer did not kill all nonchristian he simply made worship of other gods illiegal, also the catholic spainards built only 50 or so monostries in the new world which was way not enough to "enslave'' the giant at that time native population also their religon is still evident on reservations the indians were all mostly killed off by US expansion or they died from desiese

  • @meee2014

    1. In China, for sure, they had a state religion. Not religion as in Catholicism, Judaism, Islam etc. Just a religion based on the state.

    2. And ordaining upon other people that they cannot worship what they want to worship is any better? C'mon, non-Christians have been constantly killed throughout history.

    3. The Spaniards forced the Aztecs to convert under pain of death. Some of them were goaded into Catholicism (bribes etc.) but many were killed.

    4. I said nothing about Indians

  • @Ryakki congrats rejecting god is you decision

  • Ancient Greeks, BEFORE CHRISTIANITY, had already stated that the earth was round. Anyone who says thats wrong, is a complete ignorant idiot retarded piece of shit, who still thinks someone up there in the clouds is seeing ur every move and judging you.

  • @Mursilia

Well, certainly before christianity... but the old testament is obviously older, and it's not for certain how much older. It is possible that the old testament could have come before Greek discoveries, although it's not remotely clear if the old testament was actually describing a sphere at all... I mean, a circle would also describe a flat disc world.

    It's quite clearly in question.

If you state things as FACT that are questionable, you sound like a theist :P

  • Re the Eart Flat/Circle thing , if you only lived in one part of Palestine and viewed the Earth from a mountain it would appear to both flat and a circle - ie a Disc.

  • @lewisner I think you mean Israel.

  • The earth is never posed as flat or circling the sun. We say things like "the sun came up". We know it doesnt "come up" yet the expression describes our own experience and reference point.

  • The bible doesnt make scientific statements, its intent is not science, and doesnt contradict science either.

  • @j919or

Except for all those times it blatantly contradicts science, of course.

  • @Ryakki Evidence and citations please!

  • "god is not great."

  • Eratosthenes of Cyrene c. (276 BCE – c. 195 BCE) was a Greek mathematician, poet, athlete, geographer, astronomer, and music theorist. He was the first person to calculate the circumference of the earth. wikipedia. org/wiki/Eratosthenes

Aristophanes (ca. 446 BCE – ca. 386 BCE) was a comic playwright of ancient Athens. Eleven of his forty plays survive virtually complete. Also known as the Father of Comedy and the Prince of Ancient Comedy. wikipedia. org/wiki/Aristophanes

  • @nikitty020 Get a telescope and look at the moon at night when the sun is facing the other side of the earth, you will see the shadow of the earth, it is round.

  • this is how you find the errors in the bible...

see the accounts of one person. mark luke john ect . .

then see the same accounts of someone else of the same account and youll find there would be many insetsy ini.. for example one person would say he said this.. anoyther would say compltry something else..

one person would say he said nothign when he was on the cross and die that way. another wouls say he said my father ect .. also go on my page and youll see many listed in the infos

  • Technically, considering that "spherical" is a geometrical concept, it's a perfectly acceptable claim to say that the earth is flat; given that the geometrical model for it relative to the rest of the universe would be unnecessarily complicated...

  • @TuahShinguru I can't think of a single thing about your post which is correct.

  • @GypsyLeah

someone could grab a snapshot of the post and make a demotivator poster

the title would read "geometry fail" or "bible geometry"

and the main text would be something like "spherical is the same as flat"

or something much funnier...i'm not very good with words...

    i'll stop now...

  • @sabin97 I remember making a pic once with a blackboard saying something like 'Christian Logic: 3 = 1'.

  • stoke-on-trent. now there's a place that'll convince anyone there isn't a benevolent designer.

  • ...the Romans had access to Greek writings. Fewer people were educated in those days, but any scholar could tell you the Earth was round.

Even Pythagoras knew the Earth was round; by Aristotle it was settled, let alone Eratosthenes.

  • thats the thing, people didnt understand dimensions. Read this book "Flat land, a romance of many dimensions" there are infinite dimensions, we just cant access them

  • Isaiah describes the earth as a "CIRCLE", not a sphere! Isaiah probably believed that the earh was flat circle.

  • @psandbergnz Unfortunately the Hebrew word for Circle is the same as Sphere AND this book pre-dates Greek science by at least 200 years. Not saying I believe it I'm just saying it gives Christians every excuse to say it says Sphere when it obviously doesn't shown by other passages.

  • @HobbsO, you say the Hebrew for circle is the same as sphere. Not quite! The primary meaning of the Hebrew word Isaiah uses there ("chuwg") means CIRCLE. There is a Hebrew word for BALL ("durwg") that Isaiah could have used if he had intended "sphere", and which he uses elsewhere in a different context (e.g. Isaiah 22:18).

In any case, Judeo-Christians don't have a convincing case to make that Isaiah proves divine inspiration if it's unclear what Isaiah had in mind. They have no case to argue.

  • @psandbergnz HURRAY! Reason wins. Take THAT Bible.

  • Comment removed

  • Great show

  • It was Aristarchus of Samos 300bc who first proposed a heliocentric cosmological viewpoint. If he were alive today he would eat young earth creationists for breakfast.

  • by the way, a circle is still flat.

  • @red666111 A circle shaped earth is consistant with a flat earth.....a two diminsional figure with length and width but no depth. A circle has no volume,....a spheroid shaped object has volume.

  • @prairiemark yes. that's what I said. Unless I'm mistaken, the bible says - in one passage - that the earth is a circle (which, as my point was, is flat) not a sphere.

  • It was Eratosthenis

    Born 276 BC

    Cyrene

    Died 194 BC

    Capital of Ptolemaic Egypt

Occupation Scholar, librarian, poet and inventor

  • @Evolvedprimate Eratosthenis was a genius freak no doubt, but it was Aristarchus of Samos 300bc (according to wiki, not me) who first proposed a heliocentric cosmology. Was Eratosthenis the guy who used light in water wells on the equinox to calculate the circumference of the earth?

  • The Earth is flat but exists within the spherical space-time caused by its own gravity. *returns to licking frogs*

  • at least if the earth was flat then nobody could go around the world and sneak up to you from behind.

  • @topperheartramada I could go round the globe and do it...

  • The earth is round like a pancake is round but ....... wait for it..... wait for it......

    It's flat as a pancake.

The bible was correct, the earth is round.

    Astounding!

  • @pchtermino1 Than why are there pictures of the earth as a Sphere,

    Astounding!

  • @pchtermino1 The Bible contradicts itself on this subject. It says that it is a circle, then it will say that it is a square.

  • besides, if the earth was flat would it not be day time and night time in all countries at the same time...?

  • the Quran says the earth is flat, so does the Bible and the Torah. That's what happens when you read books from hundreds or thousands of years ago...but check this out..if these books say the earth is flat then does that not suggest that thoes books were thought up by man and not "god"..cuz surely god would know that the earth is not flat, but back in thoes days man thought it was.....oh fuck...now theres a thought....

  • I highly doubt that there's truly a person in the world that believes the world is flat. Many proclaim this ridiculous theory cause they like attention and to feel important plus it gives people something to laugh about. I mean, when I told people at work that there's a group called the Flat Earth Society, people laughed their behinds off.

  • By jolly, what a delight! The wife and my good self thoroughly enjoyed this tattle. It's adorable to watch you American fellows scurrying to keep up with our vast intellect. I must say though, I found the woman quite undesirable. I had heard tidings that your fillies where adept at inflaming a man's sexual ardour. Needless to say I was bitterly dissapointed. Little bother, I shall vent my frustrations over a hearty game of crochet. Cheerio luvvies!

  • OMG I live in stoke-on-trent :O

    I was like :OOOOO

and then I was like AMG WRITE A RESPONSE!

Then I thought after writing this and posting it

    Why did I post that?

    Then I made some food.

  • Woohoo! I'm the only one on this page not in an argument! I WIN

  • @lasoogneypubes

oh no you're not you bastard! I'm starting an argument with you!

  • @aegisgfx No you're not.

  • @lasoogneypubes

    ok...

  • @lasoogneypubes I disagree with your assumption, good sir, would you like to debate your position now?

  • @lasoogneypubes fuck you! Usher is a WAY better dancer than Chris Brown!

  • @dkthg Ptsh, in your dreams girl.

  • @lasoogneypubes You you are fag

  • @lasoogneypubes I disagree.

  • @lasoogneypubes Can you even call an argument with a christian an argument?

  • @lasoogneypubes no you don't ;)

  • @lasoogneypubes You are now!

    (you were asking for this)

  • Isaiah 40:22 "He sits enthroned above the CIRCLE of the earth." none of these ppl have read the bible! its flat as in the land is flat AND IT IS!

  • @nikitty020 Grow up, the earth is not flat.

  • @gregrutz

    Tell that to these guys:

    youtube.com/watch?v=e5O79MgjinI&list=PLE932FBF6B2ED8932&index=105&feature=plpp_video

  • @nikitty020 The Earth is not flat. It has already been proven, it is universal fact. Stop being so pathetic.

  • @MegaLolburger read my comment again i said the SURFACE was flat as in the land u idiot. i didnt say the EARTH itself was flat. the earth is round and scripture says that. learn how to read and comprehend!

  • Comment removed

  • @nikitty020

LOL, even land is not 'flat', I guess you haven't heard of mountains.

  • @nikitty020 I believe you may be too far gone. Just go in the corner of the room and pray or something. You have no place in the public arena of ideas.

  • @RunfromtheHeathen read my comment again i said the SURFACE was flat as in the land u idiot. i didnt say the EARTH itself was flat. the earth is round and scripture says that.

  • @nikitty020 The flatness that your eyes percieve is only an illusion because you cant see hundreds of miles in front of you at ground level. You are right, scripture does say the earth is round. But round is not the same as spherical.

  • @nikitty020 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

No, seriously. Why do ships disappear to the horizon?

  • @nikitty020 That doesn't prove the world to be flat. The Earth is a sphere, it is round. The Earth moves in "circular" diection around the sun is what is meant in the scripture.

  • @oneuniqueman777 i didnt say the world was flat i said the surface was flat. lol did you even read my comment?

  • @nikitty020 Yes I read your comment. You didn't really clarify that you were saying "only" the surface, but why would I expect you to say that anyhow? Every person can "see" that the surface is. The ground you walk on is flat.

  • @nikitty020

The surface of the Earth isn't flat either. The geoid is even less flat than the Earths surface.

  • @nikitty020 you really believe Earth is flat?

  • @nikitty020 Just lol

  • Only thing about 99% of the videos on YouTube which debate Religion Wrong/Right issue is that why do people judge every religion based on proof/arguments they get from "one" (-_-)" I guess that's human nature

    PS. I am a Muslim don't panic :P

    Peace

  • @Solocidi Do not forget that christianity is the dominant religious delusion in the English speaking world. If you think that islam could withstand a rational analysis better than christianity you should check out "TheRationalizer".

  • @Faidros62 Don't matter which religion is dominant, you can't call religion bad based only on Christianity, that's like being an Religophobic or w/e.

And no offence but in difference to that "Rationalizer" I love this guy here 160% better, cuz he actually speaks logic as for that wannabe famous (Rationalizer) I analyzed him few months ago and he doesn't want to research or find the truth, he just wants to prove wrong to Islam = sometimes makes fake profs t o archive his goal.. which is pitiful

  • @Solocidi Pitty you do not find "TheRationalizer" likable. I kind of like him. Especialy the way he pawns the so called "Quran miracles". In any case being an atheist does mean I do not buy in to any ones claim of knowing a god or gods. This does not sessesary mean atheists are phobic but most of us will challenge any such claim. So do not feel excluded - we do not like islam any more than we like christianity. :)

  • @Faidros62 You don't understand, my point wasn't about atheists being Religionphobic I said that you can't judge "Religion" as a whole based on Christianity.

He fails to do anything regarding issues of Islam I told I saw him months ago and wanted to see his point of view, but he went so far to even take verses which are not even in the Qur'an, or take verses from other religions (christianity mostly) and make them to be Islamic ones,

PS. You can't speak behalf all atheists, it's your opinion

  • @Solocidi I agree, I only speak for my self. However the only thing all atheists have in common is the fact that we do not believe in god/gods. Neither your version, the christian version or any kind of god. It´s what´s define an atheist - would you not agree? Leaving "TheRationalizer" aside I personaly find all three abrahamitic teachings (not nessesary the people that believe in them) repulsive on basis of what they teach and what they are doing to our world.

  • @Faidros62 Abrahamatic... some kind of secret sect as far as I know,

anyways leave that, as for you claiming not to believe of God you first must know the definition of something to deny it exists, and if the definition is giving you have to do research to strong your belief isn't it right, I mean I'm here watching atheists videos to learn something, I am not scared that I might turn into an atheist because I have strong Faith and proof, so why don't you research or at least watch Islam Videos?

  • @Solocidi I read one of your comments, and I need to ask: What proof do you have of your deity? This is not hostile, it is a simple question (you would be surprised how easy it is to anger people with innocent questions).

  • @Andy32268 Here's link sorry I couldn't find you since deleted inbox message

    /watch?v=wppjYDj9JUc&feature=related

    Peace

  • @Solocidi ...How does that prove a deity? If you are a flat-earther, you ignore modern science and discovers. If you agree that the earth is round, I do no see how this relates to belief in a deity. I asked: "What proof do you have of your deity?" Not about your opinions on the shape of the earth.

  • @Solocidi I think you know what I mean with abrahamitic. If your believe in the god that Abraham talked about you belive in a abrahamitic religion. Problem with that god is that as our knowlige about the world expands the notion of that god tends to get more and more etheric. From a hands on tribal god that helped slain your enemies he has become the god of the gaps. ie. if there are something we do not understand the believer think he has an answer in "God did it". cont.

  • @Solocidi Another part of the problem is that the definition tends to change depending on what believer I talk to. Even if they claim to believe in the same religion. I do from time to time watch muslim videos and my experience is that they contians the same kind of crap as the christian ones. No muslim has yet been able to provide believable evidence for their idea of a god or the truth value of their scripture. Many of them have provided evidence of their ignorance though.

  • @Solocidi An example of ONE muslim proving his ignorance in science. His level of understanding of the Quran I can not say much about but he claims to know whats in there. :)

  • @Faidros62 Surprised how you ignored all my writing, second Qur'an is the highest book of Arabic literature, and because of that Arabic grammar is derived from it, which logically means it cannot be grammatically incorrect,

An example would be: today the word "youm" translates and is used as "day", the original translation is "period of time". So that source is not reliable.

You see meanings are added to words, that doesn't exclude the original (older) meanings from being correct

    Peace

  • @Solocidi Is this discussion about arabic grammar??? =/ When it comes to that subject... what ever you say! I can not challenge that - I do not know any arabic at all. Have I claimed I do?

  • @Solocidi OK -Now I see why you think I made an argument about grammar. My misstake I just wanted to show you one example of a muslim scholar preaching the wisdom of the Quran.
