..er... Am I missing the BIGGEST news in my musical spectrum or does it say that the Tea Party have just toured?? I was gutted when they split up... are they back together??
it takes a certain type of music fan to appreciate greatness, sadly alot of my friends didnt buy in but my gf at the time was ok with me waking her up while i was blasting sister awake lol
@doubleplay1919 like.. for example, this is not usually falling into my style of music. But as a musician, i immediately recognized the genius of this album. How could i NOT listen to it?? And how could i not love it? Most people are simply unable to recognize genius.
@zhemis Actually, Jeff Martin the lead singer and guitarist is doing a few gigs in Canada this month, and he's also set up another band in Australia, The Armada
I agree with Rattimusd...I'll never understand why these guys weren't MEGA! Their timing seemed perfect in the mid-90's. One of my all-time favorite bands, as well.
@Marqeteer They got big in Canada pretty much right away, and then a few years later they got popular in Australia (and also Germany to some extent)...but I agree, and I never understood why they weren't popular in the U.S...now all these people searching for the political Tea Party are probably coming across this band, lol
@Marqeteer they were too good. To the average listener, all they hear are too many notes. They can't appreciate the masterpiece of this album because their ears are stupid. And sheer musical mastery is what makes this band so good.
@azromper Ur in for treat ;). One of my all time favourite bands. Blows my mind how they never hit the level of Radiohead in the same time they coexicted

When they say "Music is the elixir for the soul." I think they mean The Tea Party. Sad that it's over, but what they left us is amazing.
