  • Justin,

Please, is there any way you could provide the TAD for this, there is so much going on with your left and right hand. Tough for and old guy to follow. Thanks.

  • just a question, im new to guitar (im a drummer!) and i wanted to know if when you play this if you hit all the strings or what. THANKS!!!

  • thanx justin!

  • Love the lessons you give on your website. They have helped me more than any guitar instructor I have ever had.. Thanks

  • Didn't look like Justin was replying, so I thought I'd try to answer y'all's questions.

In blues, one vacillates between the major scale and the blues scale (which, keep in mind, is only one flat fifth different from the minor pentatonic scale).

Also, these scales may be the same things lower or higher. It is typical to play the same riff, basically, with the same ROOT NOTES (where you begin to play the riff). Mathematically, you are doing the same thing in different keys.

    Hope this helps.

  • All these variations are in A major? Cause he`s playing some extra notes....I`m kinda confused here

  • thangks

  • Thanks great lesson aloha

  • hi justin, great lesson. i just got a bit confused because some of the notes you use aren't in the A major scale, why is that? are you using a different scale???

  • Much appreciated Justin, Your videos have done wonders for me, however quick question.

Is it ok to substitute your pinky finger for your ring finger? My hands must be too small because I'm having trouble stretching my fingers out.

  • id say thats ok but it would be hard to go to the next fret if your doing that variation where the pinky is on the fifth.

  • id say its something very annoying that happens to every one

you can only make it go away PRACTICING

    ...a lot...

  • thanks

  • Did I mention that I love you? Seriously dude. This lesson and the last one was awesome. Thank you!

  • isn't the standard 12 bar blues progression: I,IV,I,I,IV,IV,I,I,V,IV,I,I

    ?

  • Nate - that one is called a quick change blues - but it does vary a lot depending on what region you take it from! J
