  • hey Scott this looks like a great setup!

  • @nguy522 thanks ;)

  • Hey nice set-up one suggestion for you. If you would like to get more RODI water and less waste water you can install a 150 gallon water saver unit, It is a second 75 gallon RO membrane. It feeds off the water supply from the carbon block and then feeds its waste water to the second RO membrane. This set-up will create about a 2 or 3 to 1 ration of waste water to RODI water.

  • @TheFishguy32 thats good to know I will have to look into that. Thanks

  • shelf mounted 55 gallon drums could be heavy!

I had to build a really strong table with 2x4s and 5/8" plywood.

  • @thefirstbrianmiller It is that would equal 459 lbs of live load, however I have this way overbuilt to support this and it is holding up very well.

  • shelf mounted 55 gallon drums could be heavy!

  • great video!!! very detailed... when i start setting up my water station, im definetly gunna use this video.. good job.

  • @preciseinterior Thanks I try to help out as much as I can, some times the leasons in this hobbie are hard but well worth it. Looks like your tanks care coming along. :~)

  • Great set up Mine made alot of grey water for the first time took me a full day to fil up my tank with rodi water! I use my other 55 tank for the water change water and I have 6 5 gallon buckets filled for evaporation top off. Taste the rodi water it is like wet air lol!!!!

  • @eyesonyou2ube Thanks eyesonyou@ube, I had everyone taste the water in the house with a side by side test and they all liked the RO water, think I’m going to get the sink drinking water add on here in the future.

  • Great video. Do you think the weight of those barrels will be too much to be mounted to a wall when filled with water?

  • @krug1313 They are going to be pretty heavy but hopefully my building skills are pretty good still! :~)

  • Awesome set-up video! These units are very efficient. I have had mine for several months with no problems.

  • @Rfritz09 Thanks Rfritz :~)

  • great video very neatly setup..that looks like a very nice system the only drawback i seem to see is that u are producing 5-6 gallons of waste water for every gallon of goood water which seems to be a little on the high side.i read somewhere the colder the water the less efficient it will work i get 1 galllon of waste for every 1 gallon of goood water with my coralife rodi which i am very happy with n it was not expensive at all..great video and goood information.thumps up for this one

  • @vipete1985 Thanks Vipete, well my water here in Florida does not get very cold at all, I have city water and our cold water is around 78 degrees right now and in the summer even warmer. that test on how much water it made was the very first cycle, i'm hoping if I run a test on it today it runs better, will let you know.

  • Nice video of the RO set up. I think that you need to build a show cabinet for your trophies. Lol. Also, Who in the heck would give this video a thumbs down. That is ridiculous.

    Nice Job.

  • @adjusterfrank Thanks man, the Thumbs down is the same person that does it to all my videos, they really don't care what the video is about or how good it is they just have to be different and a hater.
