I managed to model the hand without any triangles =) Thanks so much Ward you're definitely one of those great artists/3D teachers out there good Job though I didn't use your head tutorial on my character since I had already followed Jonathan Williamson's base head mesh tutorial so I followed your tutorial from the torso and down.

Just wanted to comment that this is a nice video tutorial series. For a complete beginner like myself, this shows a lot of tips and tricks, as well as how a lot of the tools are used. And on top of that, I'll have a complete character modeled when I'm done with the tutorial. Thanks for making these vids. Next is Blender Foundation's Creature Factory DVD. lol~

Awesome! Just in case you don't know, you can deselect things with box select by box selecting the vertices with the right mouse button instead of the left one.
