Dorje Shugden is the same nature as Je Tsongkhapa they are the same person performing different functions. Many Dorje Shugden sadhanas state that Dorje Shugden is the embodiment of the Guru, Yidam, and Protector, where Guru refers specifically to Lama Tsongkhapa.

Thus, many cannot accept what Dalai Lama is saying about Dorje Shugden when there are so many evidence pointing to Dorje Shugden's enlightened nature.

On top of that, Kyabje Trijang Rinpoche in his Dorje Shugden texts calls for understanding and not to have wrong views with the apparent opposing activities of the Dalai Lama and Dorje Shugden. Maybe by banning Dorje Shugden is d only way to preserve d lineage n practise of DS n to SHUT those opposing. B'cos if HHDL allows his root Guru Trijang Rinpoche to practice, isn't it obvious tht Trijang Rinpoche will have to do DS puja, tsog n his attendants all must also know DS practise to prepare it for him? It is also well know that the previous lives of HHDL and Dorje Shugden were closely connected. They often manifested together as student, teacher and vice versa. They studied and ebated together. They were very close and often spread the Dharma together. A different perspective for this ban is that, following the great 5th who in the end perpetuated Dorje Shugden (which HHDL claims he is so closely connected with) is that they are both again spreading the Dharma.

The Dalai Lama says he feels a very close connection with the great 5th. The great 5th also madethe 1st Dorje Shugden's statue, wrote a prayer to Dorje Shugden - inviting DS to come from Dharmakaya. This indicates that even the great 5th regarded DS as an enlightened being. So if Dorje Shugden was harmful why would the Dalai Lama do that and request DS to come from Dharmakaya?

Also in April 1996 another Rinpoche was asked to preside over the exorcism and in return the Private Office of the Dalai lama offers to award him the position of a "Geshe Lharampa" the highest geshe degree without having to sit for the geshe examination! Every Shugeden Party listen clearly, His Holiness gave advise that if you are really buddhist Practitioner don't refuge on worldly god its enclude Shugden too. and also if you don't want to listen my advise its your right you can do what ever practice you like, every body have religions freedom.
