I use Minedit, a program wich gives you everything you want from the game, without crafting. And you can get up to 255 of each item you choose. Yes i cheat.. But I only use Minedit in singleplayer!

That 'water' you saw was actually ice, and no, there aren't seasons, just different biomes. The whole of your world won't be ice/snow, there'll probably be a forest or desert biome aswell..

I facepalmed when you were repediately clicking Mouse1, trying to break the blocks, you have to hold down the button for everything :D

Then at night, Monsters spawn, unless you change the difficulty to peaceful, And i reccomend mining alot of time, its fun :D

And in mines (you make) you can find lots of stuff, Coal, Iron, Gold, Diamonds, Redstone, Lapiz Lasuli (Or what ever), lava and dungeons :D, Just search for "Minecraft Dungeon" here on youtube and you'll see what it is :D
