12 seasons in the lower leagues and its been a harrowing time at QPR since we were relegated from the prem in 96 but now we're ready to rise like a phoenix from the flames - RANGERS ARE BACK!!! COME ON U SUPAAAAAAAAAAAAA HOOPSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH :D
But it isn't like QPR are traditionally a top flight team is it? A friend told me that they have only played 20 seasons of top flight football. And they were formed in 1882....so that is 20 out of 126. I had no idea their record was so poor.
It isn't great i agree and as many remember after almost clinching the title in 75/76 we had two more seasons in the top flight before going down again in 1978. When i started going venables was the then boss and we were an established div 1 side, one to rival with but some might say never really get near that sparkling side of the mid 70s with bowles francis givens webb etc. Ive never really known any different i guess!
The way your club is run is nothing short of shambolic, and typical of the type of thing that is ruining football. You Rs fans should realise that your owner wants to price you out and see only West London's poshest, richest inhabitants inside Loftus Road. I feel sorry for you and if I were you I wouldn't support my team much longer.
Tbh mate im beginning to get annoyed with the way our owner in particular flavio briatore keeps sticking his nose in on transfers, team selections etc, he sacked iain dowie in front of the players at the training ground which was bang out of order imo, hes got this attitude that 'i got qpr out of the trouble they were in so i can control everything that is going on at the club' which of course he cant, football is a team game but he does'nt seem to grasp that one important fact.
One last frequented Loftus Road with the travelling Millwall Army in 1964..The Morgan Twins on each wing, with Rod-ner-ee in the middle.Great Days.QPR Won 3/1...next time it was 6/1 with Mark Lazuras(currently a good burgher of Romford) running riot :)
Pleased to see Brian Bedford and Tony Ingham. I thought only old farts like me would remember them, yet Tony Ingham played more games for the Rs than anyone else.

It is chaotic, but it is also potentially viable............and no true fan ever runs away , no matter who happens to be running the show.

One of those goals looks like the third one against FC Cologne (UEFA Cup 1976/77), scored by Stan Bowles. Can anyone confirm?
