  • my mom had early onset alzheimers 1960-2004. i was 22.

  • awful awful disease! COME ON AND LETS HOPEFULLY DISCOVER A CURE! No one deserves this

  • Read my vlog about dealing with a grandparent with dementia. Its jodijohnson.blog.com. The name of it is I'd Eat Men (dementia)

  • THIS IS SO SCARY!!!!! AND SO SAD

  • when I was kid my grandfather teached me a lot of important things about life .

last time I went there to visit him , after we talk a lot he said that Im a nice guy and to come to visit him again any time I want ,after that he turned to my grandmother and asked ,Maria who is this nice guy?

Before I left I said to him, dont you worry if you dont remember me , because I will never forget you .

  • What a lovely thing to say. I am crying.

  • this brought a tear to my eye. my grandmother suffered from alzheimers for many years before i was born, my earliest memory (age 5) of her is her sat in a nursing home just babbleing, she was unable to talk.

As a child it never really bothered me because i didnt understand, but as i grew older and after her death it started to affect me, i never could have a relationship with her even though i wanted one so badly. I am now 16 and a (informal) volunteer for the south warwichshire branch.

  • sad

  • im sorry, thats hard. my mom'sgranmother couldn't remeber her name when she went to visit. she came home in tears.
