yes you ca get XP on it or have both so have vista and xp dual boot which means you select the OS you want to use

The hp just takes a little longer for the bios to boot. It has nothing to do with vista. And you probably have too much crap on the hp

Mate are you restarted or something because this was one of the latest models out their when i bought it about 8 months ago. now it's old so obviously it not worth that because their is a much newer better models out their. no i didn't get ripped off OK this is in AU so yeah

I have thought about the screen, researching that as well. (ATI Radeon 3450) , But I think I won't worry because i get myself a new computer every 4 years. Might later though if it gets cheeper!

nice dv5 lol I've got the dv5-1007tx (2.53ghz core2duo with 4gb ram and a 9600M GT and a 320gb hard drive)

Have You thought of upgrading to the wsxga+ screen that the US has for dv5's? I did abit of research. 350 just for the screen lol
