@Faohlun But yet you expect TOR to be alot like WoW, when you forget that Bioware is running it. During the ToR beta, if you played it, you should realise that ToR is ENTIRELY Story Driven. The first ten levels will drive any "grinders" and hard core WoWers, leaving the true fans of the Old Republic era to lead ToR.
The old republic era is too expansive and too rich to be just a single player game. Kotor was always destined for a never ending game, an MMO. I have dreamed of an MMO of this game since I beat it and finally its happening. MMOS dont end and this way I can be a character that I design that doesnt have to use the force. To be a bounty a hunter in the old republic era is pretty much all i have ever wanted after playing kotor and Bioware is answering my prayers. An HD remake would be nice tho

I started this but I accidentally got dark side points so I reloaded the save and then for some reason the game glitched and the game acted as if I had insufficient persuasion points, oh well playing it again won't be that painful.

@zenlord22 Actually the war in kotor 1 Was Jedi Civil War and in Kotor 2 there was the rebuild of the republic going on not a war. Tor is about a war against the sith empire which took place over 300 years later of kotor games.
@zenlord22 Dd you read what i wrote? TOR war has nothing to do with Revans war. Jedi Civil War was Republic against the fallen Jedis and the forces of Revan and Malak. If you speak to Kreia in kotor 2. You realize that these Revans troops aren't the true sith. And the true sith war is in TOR.
If you don't know what im talking about play Kotor 2 and speak to Kreia. She tells you what is going on.
i like how much of this type of thing is in the game.....so many things the creators decided to cut at the last second and just hid a file somewhere or just set a binary number to one instead of zero....or vice versa

See how often Revan used the 'persuade' dialogue choice when talking to Yuthura? You have to select this option when speaking w/ Yuthura to get her to relax and bond w/ Revan. In order for these persuade dialogue options to be available & to work, the player has to pay into the persuade skill when leveling up. You've got to increase your persuade ability almost every time, if not every time you level up, in order to have enough persuade skill to turn Yuthura from the dark side. Good luck!
the part about Bastilla is not true just like MCarter said you just have to go there before you get captured by the Leviathon but with Revan's robes yes that is a mod

Every npc, character and robot is going to be voiced. They are putting a lot of effort to make this a story based mmo. It does look good but i still have doubts.
Each class has it's own single-player storyline with options / choices / consequences like the KOTOR games. We're basically getting like 8 games in one, with multiple endings for each.
Still a fucking MMO. That means grindgrindgrind quest grind form party grind some more quest grind grind grind reach ending, game doesn't really end because it's an MMO, reach max level create, create new character repeat process until all your money belongs to the game's company.
In KOTOR you didn't need to grind because the monsters leveled up with you.
Enjoy your wasting life.

Well enjoy wasting your life playing games then. It all comes down to sitting in front of a freakin computer and not doing anything which you could really benefit from in real life...What difference does it make whether you play an MMO or single player (taking in consideration that £10 per month is not a big deal for you). It's all about what you find most enjoyable. If you don't like never-ending MMO stories and interaction with hundreds of other players than so be it, play what suits you best

Nah man - but really though. It has fully voiced characters - every single NPC. It has party members, you can play through the game entirely single player with companions, help do their sidequests, and because everything is instanced for player during singleplayer (can even add your friends *to* the instance) you can just play it like a singleplayer game..
and apparently - each storyline is bigger than every
one of their games combined.* they even said the story factor would eliminate the grind-factor, so you're basically just playing KOTOR..the only difference is you have to pay for it, lol. :/

Bioware forgot to remove them, because they were originally going to have Bastila allowed on Korriban. At some point they realised that would be a bad idea considering Malak has the Sith looking for her...
He should have been since his name came up in every conversation Saul and Malak had about Bastila's companions. Also, "revan" should have been recognizable since every dark jedi that crosses your path has a datapad w/ your and Bastil's descriptions on them.
But whatever, no point kicking a dead horse on a game thats what, 6 years old now.
Never ever knew about this whole Yuthura redemption path, this is very very nice.
So in this alternative her tale is somewhat like that of Anakin.. she thought she could use the Dark Side to do good but in the end she succumbed to it and freed no slaves whatsoever. Skywalker had the same idea about saving Padme.. but using the Dark Side he met the same fate, and in the end he quite failed to achieve the original idea, just as Yuthura.

Does this work if Dantooine has already gone boom-boom? Because if it does, I'd prefer that Yuthura flee to a different Jedi temple. I just don't like the idea of someone as dark as her being brought back and then dying anti-climactically in a Sith bombardment. That and Korriban is always the last planet I visit because Bastila can't come.

Every npc, character and robot is going to be voiced. They are putting a lot of effort to make this a story based mmo. It does look good but i still have doubts.

I agree, an MMO game will have no plot and will just be an endless waste of time.
Should've just added a multiplayer option instead of dismissing single player completely.

Each class has it's own single-player storyline with options / choices / consequences like the KOTOR games. We're basically getting like 8 games in one, with multiple endings for each.

Still a fucking MMO. That means grindgrindgrind quest grind form party grind some more quest grind grind grind reach ending, game doesn't really end because it's an MMO, reach max level create, create new character repeat process until all your money belongs to the game's company.
In KOTOR you didn't need to grind because the monsters leveled up with you.
Enjoy your wasting life.

Well enjoy wasting your life playing games then. It all comes down to sitting in front of a freakin computer and not doing anything which you could really benefit from in real life...What difference does it make whether you play an MMO or single player (taking in consideration that £10 per month is not a big deal for you). It's all about what you find most enjoyable. If you don't like never-ending MMO stories and interaction with hundreds of other players than so be it, play what suits you best

Nah man - but really though. It has fully voiced characters - every single NPC. It has party members, you can play through the game entirely single player with companions, help do their sidequests, and because everything is instanced for player during singleplayer (can even add your friends *to* the instance) you can just play it like a singleplayer game..

Thank you, TehPrincessJ for showing me how I might redeem Yuthura and bring another troubled soul back to the Light. I'm working on defeating the Sith, bringing balance back to the Force, and to this end, I knew I would have to help another overcome their darkness first.

Bioware forgot to remove them, because they were originally going to have Bastila allowed on Korriban. At some point they realised that would be a bad idea considering Malak has the Sith looking for her...

He should have been since his name came up in every conversation Saul and Malak had about Bastila's companions. Also, "revan" should have been recognizable since every dark jedi that crosses your path has a datapad w/ your and Bastil's descriptions on them.
But whatever, no point kicking a dead horse on a game thats what, 6 years old now.

Never ever knew about this whole Yuthura redemption path, this is very very nice.
So in this alternative her tale is somewhat like that of Anakin.. she thought she could use the Dark Side to do good but in the end she succumbed to it and freed no slaves whatsoever. Skywalker had the same idea about saving Padme.. but using the Dark Side he met the same fate, and in the end he quite failed to achieve the original idea, just as Yuthura.

Does this work if Dantooine has already gone boom-boom? Because if it does, I'd prefer that Yuthura flee to a different Jedi temple. I just don't like the idea of someone as dark as her being brought back and then dying anti-climactically in a Sith bombardment. That and Korriban is always the last planet I visit because Bastila can't come.
