  • It's good to see that the Finnish tax payer's money is well spent

  • Yep, I agree with the others, a more detailed view of how the machine works could be good

  • Nice try guys, but the video gives no clue to an outsider as to what makes the car go. Assuming the explanation by aboakademi is correct, the video should include an extra-extra-closeup of the fishing line and how it's wound.

  • @Klenahutes the spinning spool is visible from 1:02 to 1:09 and again from1:23 to 1:28 but you are correct in that the fishing line is quite hard to see, they usually are ;)

  • Check out the new christmas version "Santa runs on Diet Coke and Mentos" from the same guys (user aboakademi). There is a more detailed explanation of how the thing works.

  • what?

  • Cool

  • Not bad.

  • The Mentos candy reacts with the Coke and the

foaming liquid bursts out of a nozzle to make a spool spinning. A fishing

line connected to a lego car is wound up on the spool and gives the car a

    speed of 40 km/h.

  • @aboakademi : thanks for the explanation ! I was wondering the link with the lego car :-)

  • I'm not following how the coke/mento combination makes the cars go.

  • @NickHodges A fishing

line connected to a lego car is wound up on the spool and gives the car a

    speed of 40 km/h.

  • muy bomm!!
