  • Mismiki :) Beautiful, Jan!

  • Encore, Mrs Pickletoes! I could hear the accompanying sound of distant drums.

  • you are one of our favorite people:)

  • @CuteThingsExploding Why thank you!!

    :::::blushing:::::

  • Would like permission to use some of your music as an intro to my survival videos.

  • Hi!

It would be an honor! I will be posting more soon. The tune on this video is my own composition, so you indeed have my permission!

    Jan

  • Just give me a credit somewhere......and I will be a happy camper!!

    ;-)

  • Very Peaceful, I'd love to hear more from you.

  • Thank you! I plan to make the time to make more flute videos very soon!

  • Very nice! MissPickletoes you have a natural talent for the Native American flute you should post more of your playing! I would listen! Peace

  • I am flattered that you like it! That was a song that came to me years ago...before I took up the flute. I realized it fit right into the flute...and the rest is history..so to speak. I promise to post more music.

  • I hope you find time to play more. You are wonderful Jan! And I'm LOVIN the hat!! Soo very nice. Peace-n-Love to you, your fam, and all whom you haven't yet met. Happy Happy!

  • You motivate me!

  • very nice and peaceful

  • Thank you! I find it peaceful to play...have not had enough time to play lately. With winter coming, I will try to pay attention to my flutes more!!

  • Hard to believe you're new to this flute - excellent beginning!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Nice rich cedar tones. Soft relaxing melody. Played with such expression. Thank you for this video!

  • Oh my goodness! You are too kind!! With you kind words, I will get the courage to post more music! Bless you!

  • Wonderful. I'm surprised it took me so long to find you. Very very nice. Expressive, pretty, lovely. I was only disappointed in one place...when you stopped! Peace Sweet Sister! Love to you and all you love and all who do not know you yet. Sincerely, Just pat

  • great sound, nicely played. Vibrato adds nice touch

  • Thank you!

  • Well played for a first attempt! I've always wanted to try a native american flute. They have a very soothing tone...one can almost hear the earth in them.

  • Not bad, a little out of timing at times, but very nice!

  • Thank You for your kind words. I love playing, and I love hats! YouTube seems like a good place to show off both...lolol.

  • You are most definitely a 'flutist'... and not a 'flautist'; the former being preferred; the latter, not so much. The hat fits, as well. Thanks for the musical interlude.

  • You really have a very soulful style when you play. I bet you could charm the animals to dance.

  • Thanks! My parrots seem to like the music, but I can't get too close to them when I play, or they will chew the flute!!

    Jan

  • i cant beleive thats your first attempt, very well done, you are a natural tallent.

  • Oh....I have been playing for a little while...this was my first try on this new flute. It was a gift that came to me completely unexpectedly, and one that I will cherish. I started out on the tin whistle, and went to a Bb whistle so I could play along with bagpipe tunes! Then at a PowWow in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, I met a flute maker and got to chose my first flute, and watch him actually finish it by burning the holes into it. I love them...some day I want to try the bagpipes!!

  • Oh please do! They are so calming to the spirit, yet seems to charge one up too!

    Thanks for commenting!

    Musically yours,

    Jan(MissP)

  • that sounds good! Makes me wanna try my own out today.

  • beautiful music played with gentleness and feeling well done

  • Why, thank you! I plan on posting more, with some of my other flutes, and maybe my tin whistles too!! ;-)

  • I love the Native American Indian flute. I first came across it when visiting the Southwest many years ago. I have two flutes that I play occasionally but never as well as this.

    Great sound!

  • Thanks,Lew! I take that as a great compliment coming from such a good musician as you are!

    Bless you!

  • THAT IS GOOD

  • Thank you Mike! ;-)

  • So pretty =)

  • Thank you!

  • That's some beautiful playing! You have quite a talent!

  • Thanks Kay.....I will post more flutes in time. I have a great Low C flute that I want to post here..

  • This showcase sent chills down my spine...so authentic and very moving...almost SPIRITUAL!

    Thanks!

    Max

  • Thank you Max.....I feel the same way about the flute. To me...it has the spirit of the tree from which it came...and although the tree may now be dead, its up to me to coax the spirit back out of the flute for all to hear!

  • Wow, the sound is so peaceful & soothing. And that was a wind gift that you mastered so soon?

    Thank You for sharing!

  • Oh! I have been playing these flutes for a while, but this was my first try on this one. It is a 5 hole, and I have played 6 holes but not a 5. This one is a great sounding flute...and the cedar smells wonderful!

  • Wow! You make that thing talk! It really does have a soothing tone. Tell Mr. Pickletoes we saw his arm in the picture.

  • Thank you Steve! I love playing those flutes....but in the summer, when I play on my screened porch, it causes the neighbor's dogs to bark!! ;-)

  • your doing great I remember you saying you were to shy to play on here,

  • Thank you Jock! While I am not all that crazy about how I look , I think I am getting over it! LOLOL

  • I love the sound of those things...Now we know from which side of the family Valentine gets his talent.....

  • Thanks Ron! Yes..he loves the flute playing, but since they are made of wood, I cannot get too close to him when I play or I'd have toothpicks!!

  • Talented too !

  • Why thank you! :-)
