  • I kinda of agree with Riley's mark. She only landed 2 jumps cleanly....a double axel and a triple toe.

  • Does anyone know what the music is named?

  • @ErisTheVorta No, it was at the 1994 World Championships

  • Those judges were clearly racists. British judge can suck me dick.

  • The quad was less than half turn cheated what are they talking about?!

  • Have to agree with the British judge!

  • Me too. Vanessa Riley really did not like her skating and awarded marks accordingly. This was a really rough performance - lovely costume though. Wish we could see the nationality of the judges nowadays, it made it much more enjoyable. Two British judges - Vanessa Riley & Sally Anne Stapleford were notoriously low markers but did not give a damn.

  • I agree on every point! I think what Riley was reacting to in the case of her relatively good short program at the Olympics was the sloppiness of Surya's skating, its jerky, unwieldy quality, the way the arms fall to her sides as she telegraphs her jumps. Surya did improve her skating in later seasons. But it's good to mark low because when you give, say, a 5.9 as Riley did for Kristi's short, you know it was well deserved.
