How to get White/ Platinum blonde hair

Hi, I've finally got my hair to a pale yellow by bleaching. So I was wondering if I could put on the directions white toner now? And would I be able to put the silver toner on after that so my hair goes white with only a slight silvery tone, like yours?

Also how long do you recommend leaving it on for as I heard if you leave it on too long it can stain your hair and I'm a bit worried about that.. and do you apply it to dry or wet hair? Thanks! x

@HLucy123 if it's a pale yellow, you can just use a toner and purple shampoo to get it whiter :) x

i love yr blonde! It's my favorrite! I'm blonde now.i had blue black dyed hair.I only had to bleach it once and put a blonde color over it.I used products from my Salon is why it did so good.

can i just say i'm a hairdresser and you should never use 12% (40 vol) directly to the scalp. 9% (30 vol) will give you 3 levels of lift. Although 12% will give you 5 levels of lift i cant stress enough that it should not be used on the scalp it can be used for highlighting though. Hope this gives you guys a little bit of help and advice!

If it was me i would just keep using the purple shampoo until you get some regrowth and then apply the bleach, just not to overdo it so much :) also, no you don't have to mix the toners with anything :) xxx

you are SSOOOOO pretty, but i think you should bleach your eyebrows to match your hair, trust me hun you will look SOO great, it will change your whole look for the better, but dont get me wrong you are extremely beautiful.

@jamiepolinski1 Hi hun, you probably didn't leave the bleach on long enough for it to process. Make sure you're only putting it on your roots if the rest of your hair is already blonde otherwise you will overprocess it. Same goes with the toner, just place that on your roots aswell. I suggest the white or silver toner by la riche directions. leave it on for an hour. Then just keep washing your hair with purple shampoo focusing it on the brassier parts and it would neutralise over time :) x

I'm a natural blonde but as a teenager I dyed my hair red for about 2 years, then I went back blonde. I had it bleached and as you mentioned it turns your hair orange for a bit. Well after it was back blonde I kept it that way then when I was 17 I dyed it dark brown for about 6 months before finally deciding I look best with blonde hair and I had it bleached again. I was afraid I'd lose hair but thankfully I didn't. Your videos are fun to watch (:

this is a great video, i had platinum blonde hi-lites and went all over platinum blonde again. my hair has been died black and reddish or auburn too. i love trying new toners also, so i'm going to try the loreal shampoo you mentioned. shimmer lights clairol is also a great toner shampoo. i use that right now every time i wash my hair. you covered everything step by step.

hey sorry just wondering if i used that bleach, would it make my roots go ginger because my roots are fairly dark, and once iv bleached it to the colour i want does that mean i should stop bleaching and just do roots and toner from then on? could really do wit your advice hun, hairdressers never let me bleach my hair so i want to do it myself :) wats the name of the toner also? soz for all the questions :) xx

@grababyyox Hi lovely, haha that's alright! If you leave the bleach on your roots long enough it should lift them to a yellow colour.. keep eyeballing them to make sure. I would say upto 60 minutes, it depends how porous your hair is. Mine takes 45. And yeah, once you've gotten to the colour you like, just do your root touch up every 6 weeks or so, and brighten up with toner. The toner I use is called Directions by La riche in either silver or white :) hope this helpss babe xx
