when ur in the air ur getting pulled fowards by the boat which is making you become badly balanced and because of this when you land ur board is catchin the water.
yo you've probably already got the trick down sence you posted this almost 2 years ago if u havent (would be pretty sad) if your just trying to learn it dont go wake to wake just do a small jump makes landing alot eayser sence it looked like you were casing the wake some, atleast that how i did it when i first learned the trick now i can do wake to wake backside 180's like its nothing
first off, edge harder, pop harder and spin later. Work on it in the flats first, just ollie and do it, you'll learn handle passing and staying flat for when you do hit the wake.
skylines right, your spinning too early and too fast, you have to pop then spin. just try and concentrate on keeping the board level and try to just make sure you get the back of the board facing forward by the time you land.
alright so heres exactly how to stick it brossif cut pop WAIT! very last second while your in the air pull the handle across your back and do your rotation.... land wrapperd or handlepass doesnt matter. you will think you will catch a back edge but you wont
looks like your spinning a little bit too early,. Also try putting a more weight on your front foot and look straight back on the landing to keep from over-rotating this trick.
Dude your doing a 270. Just go for the backside 360 then. And if you really want to do a backside 180 forcus more on poping off the wake and less on your rotation because your over rotating
Another good idea for learning this trick is to shorten the rope. With a shorter rope there is less tension on the line and getting the handle pass off becomes much easier. This is why a progressive cut is so important when using the length of rope you usually ride with. For a progressive cut, the line will not be as loaded. Essentially, you are trying to jump towards the boat. Work on the angle of your body as well. Stay more upright.
it seems tedious but its really worth it to learn right, because if you have your edge rightyou can learn a couple of different flips in a 20 min session. you need to wait for the boat to start to pull you towards the center of the wake to begin your cut, and make sure you edgethrough the top of the wake, and keep the rope at HIP level and tight to your body.
hey dude try not to jump the whole wake when your just learning. Try to practice on a carpet and just get the rotation and then when your on the water go about 17 to 20 which should be slow for you and ollie as high as you can and just practice that and youll get it
Spot the landing by looking through your legs. Land on your toes, not your heels. It's easier to land wake to wake. I'm sure you've landed it by now

ski rope is shortening in the air and pulling you off axis. You want to be edging away from the boat when you land on your toeside

Simply overrotating.

and it looks like u dont have fins, so ur board is sliding out from under you, so either mayb put fins on, or lean forward a bit more, good job tho(:

Your not even going wake to wake yet do that first and get comfortable in tha air
wake123soccer123 1 year ago
you wanna almost lean forward as you land so you are on your toes, once you land keep the toe side edge for a little bit
pkdrew3 2 years ago
you need to work on standing up straight while in the air, you are leaning bad and causing the board to slide out. and you have to much rotation
bigmoney426 2 years ago
spin it later... KEEP THE ROPE TIGHT and that means NO slack in the rope and just land on your toes and its there

try to spin a little slower.
and look between your legs for the landing.
and dont lean back as much
and ride away with one hand on the rope
