I don't find Joan funny, but I don't find Chelsea funny either and I have no clue why she is so successful right now. She has some funny lines once in a while but she isn't Sara Silverman. Plus I have heard from numerous first hand accounts that Chelsea is a HUGE bitch and a sloppy sloppy drunk. She also allegedly does hard drugs frequently. From day one I've always thought Chelsea Handler's humor was mean. I use to say is it me or is she mean, but I see I'm not the only one who thinks that. I heard chelsea handler's full interview on stern and she had stated that she doesn't like female comedians who talk shit about other female comedians and stated that joan rivers was one of those female comedians who does that and mentioned how joan had talked shit about her. Chelsea then mentioned how it was bad enough as it is that female comedians have to deal with the constant sexism from men that it doesn't help when female comedians diss one another.

I really like both but you can't compare Chelsea to Joan. Joan was successful as a female comedian during the days when saying something remotely controversial on TV caused an uproar. And her entire repertoire of jokes consisted of something that would have gotten a TV station closed down back then.
