  • @taylor39781 Majel Barret said "five Federation ships by that name." The NX-01 was not a Federation ship, but a Starfleet ship. It was decommissioned the same day the Federation was founded.

  • Still do not understand why Scotty wanted to see a bridge he was almost never on. "Show me the transporter room of the Enterprise you shatterin' piece of..."

  • @AeronPeryton He was on it quite a bit on the orginal series as well as he was 3rd in command so when ever kirk and spock were on an away mission scotty was on the bridge.

  • What does Scotty talking smack his own ship? The enterprise A rocks and is way better than the other four.

  • @Salvatore403 As he put it in the episode this clip was taken from:

"I actually served on two, this was the first. She was also the first ship I ever served on as chief engineer. You know, I served aboard eleven ships; freighters, cruisers, starships. But this is the only one I think of, the only one I miss. It's like the first time you fall in love, you dont ever love a woman, quite like that again."

  • Go on Scotty!

  • Did you have to specify that he was drunk?

  • @driverx241

    ???? Weird comment.

  • Hah love it.

  • This is the best scene in the history of star trek the next generation

  • @Glenn80817 I kind of like the scene with Admiral McCoy in the first episode when Data tells the Admiral how old he is. Admiral McCoy responds, "How do you remember that so exactly? You're not a Vulcan." Data answers, "No, I am an android." McCoy quips, "Almost as bad."

  • @YouFyrst I believe his exact words were "I don't see no points on your ears boy, but you sound like a Vulcan."

  • Computer: Enter when ready.

    Scotty: Up your shaft.

    That would've been a better response. :)

  • He doesn't specify which refit.

  • No bloody A,B C or D this isthe best moment

  • I love it how every Scottish or Irish guy in the future is still "the guy in the pub" deep inside.

  • I LOVED this episode. :)

  • xD Just bangs on the computer board with the glass

    "Give to me Enterprise!!"

  • Best Star Trek scene ever!

  • Is this when he got rescued from the pattern buffer??? Loved him...

  • @BlakeMason2 Yes, it is.

  • r.i.p. scotty

  • The Enterprise, The enterprise bridge ye chattering piece of..

  • from which movie is this from?

  • @TheQueenofHearts108 This was a Star Trek the next generation episode. This is when they found Scotty stuck in a transporter loop in the future.

  • @malonde Oh ok thanks! :)

  • You tell her Scotty!

  • I think it is from Season 6 Ep. 4 - Relics

  • ???

what series ? voyager? ent? tng??

  • @Starryvideos Tng

  • @StarryvideosTng season 7 episode "relics"

  • @Starryvideos and by season 7 i mean season 6 lol

  • @Starryvideos the next gen ep4 season 6

  • what epissode is this?

  • Comment removed

  • Yes the NX01 was before the Federation. ST:ENT starts off a whole decade before the UFP was founded.

  • No bloody A, B, C, or D. LOL XD

  • I loved that part!

  • LOL me too!

  • The computer could have really messed with him and said specify bridge, original configuration or refit 2271

  • Hehe Scotty would have been pretty pissed at that!

  • "Lassie...if I wante' ta see the bridge of the bloody REFIT En-ter-prise, I woulda ASKED for the bloody "A". NOW SHOW ME THE ORIGINAL BRIDGE O' THE EN-TER-PRISE BEFORE I RE-WIRE YE INTO A BLOODY FOOD PROCCESSOR!"

  • or even a later refit - in TMP, the science station was behind kirk... in WoK onwards, it was switched to the tradional right hand side location

  • "The EN-TER-PRISE. Show--me--the--bridge--of--the--EN-TER-PRISE, YA CHATTERIN' PIECE O'---"

    Seriously--Scotty is just awesome....

  • Yes, yes he is. Scotty is too cool!

  • 5 ships named Enterprise? CONTRADICTION. What about the NX-01?

  • Well...Archer's ship wasn't, strictly speaking, a FEDERATION ship....

  • 5 federation ships

  • :S, I really don't understand why people think it's so bad. I thought the same for a while too, then I actually started watching it..

  • Computer meant under Federation use. NX01 was before the Federation.

  • Hey... you can see he only has four fingers on his left hand here. o.o

I mean, the actor also had four fingers on TOS, but, they always covered that fact up some way or another, back then...

  • You mean his right hand. Mr.Doohan lost it when he was in WWII and was shot by a german machine gunner.

  • That's the one I meant. xD;

It's just interesting to note that, in TOS, they bothered to cover that up, whilst they did not attempt to do so here.

  • N-C-C 1-7-0-1 NO BLOODY A B C or D!

  • There would have been two since there is an NCC 1701-E haha

  • not before that episode

  • this episode was called " Relics"

I belive scotty was stuck in a transporter pattern buffer for about 75 years in this. 0_0

aboard the USS Jenolan. When the enterprise encounters the dyson sphere

  • what episode of star trek the next gen is this?

  • And no bloody Apple Computer for a bridge either! Tell'em Scotty!

  • @tannerps2004 Great comment ;)

  • @tannerps2004 Woot! Death to Apple! Go Dell.

  • Looks like Scotty found a bottle of MD 20/20.

  • it makes just fine sense.

this episode was made before they decided that kirk should die.

even when scotty sees that kirk's dead in generations, his whole part was written for spock. checkov's part was written for mccoy. did you wonder why checkov suddenly decided to go treat people in sick bay?

  • can you imagine? Kelley and Nimoy dint want to do the movie because they feld the script was poor, and then there parts are just given to Doohan and Koenig. when was Chekov ever a medic?

  • that episode doesn't make sense , when scotty get's saved he askes what ship hes on. when he finds out he's on the enterprise he says " i bet kirk himself draged this old ship out of moth balls just to come find me. but 80 years earlier ( in the star trek time line ) during generations he watchs kirk die so why would he assume that kirk came himself

  • Well, the novel "Engines of Destiny" kinda tries to justify that by stating that, being in a transporter beam for well over 3/4 of a decade kinda boggled his thoughts for a few moments. After all, he didn't seem to be curious about the new uniforms, either.

  • delusional perhaps?

  • "She's comin' apart at the seems, captain- I canna' hold'er togetha'"

"I need more than that, Mr. Scott."

And he always held his lovely beastie together. Unfailing, loyal, unflinching, brave, honorable, true hearted, would give his life for the ship or a friend-

    Scotty. RIP, James Doohan.

  • It always makes me wonder what happened to the others.

  • Scotty & McCoy were always my favorites.

  • after he was sarcastic no bloody a b c or d the computer should have asked "refiit bridge or origional bridge" lmao

  • Scotty would've bitch slapped the computer core.

  • Scotty's the absolute Bomb!!! XD Best crewmen any of the Enterprizes have ever seen!

  • I loved Scotty, because he was funny like that!

  • The Enterprise, show me the bridge of the Enterprise, you chattering bucket of...

    N-C-C-1-7-0-1. No bloody A, B, C, or D.

LMAO, having dealt with computers since I was 16 years old, I can understand how Scotty felt. :P

  • Scotty's been spending too much time at the Enterprise Buffet

  • The computer didn't know about the Pre-federation Enterprise, yet Troi and Riker go into the holodeck for a historical simulation of its last adventure *during* a TNG Episode, I like how they fuck up the continuity and everything.

  • Actually it doesn't fuck up continuity. Let me explain. Scotty says show me NCC 1701 The Enterprise from the Capt. Archer missions has the serial number NX-01. Scotty was specifying which NCC-1701 Enterprise he wanted to be on. Wow I'm a nerd.

  • yay nerds! they taste good too! the candy. :D

  • Best, scene, ever.

  • If you've ever been drunk on Brandy, you'll understand how Scotty felt.

  • Maybe it's the beer talking but you've got a butt that won't quit! They've got these big chewy pretzels here that are.. Five dollars? Get outta here!

  • Cause accuatly in 1992 no-one could see the enterprise-B bridge but they could see the enterprise-C bridge from the episode Yesterdays enterprise 1989-1990

  • This episode was viewed since 1992

Where was the enterprise-B all these years, when it was christened in 1994??

The've screwed up the Timeline of the federation

  • He's like a mad man in love...

  • would have been funny as shit if the computer said again not enough data please state whether pre-refit or refit type :P

  • An honour to Canadians, servicemen, and the entire genre of Sci-Fi, as well as one of the most amiable people ever to grace the world. Godspeed, Jimmy Doohan, m'lad.

  • This would definitely be in my top 5 for all time funniest Star Trek moments. I love the exasperated looks Scotty has when the computer can't figure out what the hell he wants. I was lucky to meet him in person. A really nice guy with a great sense of humor.

    RIP, Mr. Doohan.

  • wow i that is trully a moment i would love to get i really envy you but yeah any way this is my favorite TNG episode great scene

  • R.I.P

  • Hehehe.. this is still a classic Star Trek moment. LOL :)

  • I really want an excuse to say 'the android at the bar told me...'...does that make me a nerd? Probably.

  • Yes. And so what?

I used it once - people knew what i was on about

  • i think they messed up it should have been "show me the engine room" not the brige becouse thats where he spent most of his time

  • I think they wanted to, but they couldn't afford to rebuild that set for one segment of one episode. So they went with the bridge instead.

  • It also would have robbed us of the wonderful "here's to you, lads"

The bridge was far more familiar to US and the empty chairs were far more poignant than an empty engine room.

  • But heres a thing how the computer know it was the bridge he wanted? There was: the original bridge, the bridge when pike was in command, the bridge when kirk was in command and then the movie era bridge. How did it know it was wanting that one?

  • "How did it know it was wanting that one?"

Maybe the computer had a "good taste" chip. It knew the difference between vintage quality NCC-1701 like the rest of us lovers of pure vintage Enterprise (never to be matched, no matter what SFX or CGI shit comes to fore)

  • Aye Captain , I cannot reach the controls!!!

  • Just saw that episode today, for the first time.

I must say, our favourit egineer made that episode. It would've been pretty ordinary (read: bad) without him.

  • ok....NX-01 was starfleet/earth...not srarfleet/Federation..built as the first warp 5 human ship.

  • what a legend

  • 6 ships...NX-01 through NCC-1701-D

  • "........5 FEDERATION ships with that name....."

  • Yeah, the Nx-01 was pre-Federation, right? (I'm not an ENT fan, I don't care for it, so I would not know for sure, but I think that's right, that's what the guy above me says.) lol

  • where's the rest?

  • The only ST episode I cried...When Scott toasts to old ghosts..Sitting on the "real" bridge. The one I grew up with The show that made me a trekker...No bloody TNG,VOY,DS9 or ENT....;-)

  • amen...

  • Watch Star Trek: The New Voyages.. it's incredible

  • "The android at the bar said you could show me my old ship. Let me see it." That's the funniest line here.

  • yeah or NCC 1701. No bloody A B C or D!

  • The android at the bar said you could show me my old ship. Let me see it." That's the funniest line here

    Samsticka,

    The FUNNIEST line is actually...

    "NCC-1701. NO BLOODY A, B, C, OR D!!"

  • This guy made me decide to become an Aeronautical Engineer. He made engineering cool, and discussed it many years after the show. He had more of an impact on certain aspects of education than people realize.

  • He didn't gave enough data to computer, since could be Chris Pike Enterprise sets, Kirks first episode sets, or the Motion Picture enterprise (which didn't have the A letter). :-)

  • I agree sad but funny at the same time. Loved that man.

  • I didn't realize just how sad this clip this. When you think about its an old man trying to relive his past and come to terms with the future.

  • hilarous guy. sad that he's dead, he was one of the best.

  • I agree that.

This episode should be preserved for all time

  • This episode broke my heart. Jimmy/Scotty was my ultimate fav. RIP, luv.

  • I love this part... very awesome... yay Scotty.

  • God, don't any of you realize how sad this clip is? :(

  • Hes dead.

  • He's dead Jim. :-(

  • ...but not as we know it!

  • HAHAHAHA !!! ;-)

  • no he is jim

  • Loved scotty.
