The problem isn't power per se, but individualism which gives the illusion of "others" that can be dominated and bent under your will. Individualist consciousness allows for this perspective and domination becomes inevitable because somebody has to give orders and "others" have to follow those orders. Lust for power under collective consciousness doesn't exist because we don't have the ability or technology to share minds like the star trek borg collective. If we did domination wouldn't exist.
