This is true, but from my knowledge, Italians do not have any discriminatory laws against these races. Similar with many Latin American countries, which are full of racists but know better than to enact laws which discriminate against them. On the other hand, the U.S. has a long history of slavery and racist laws.

I've been to Italy twice, the term is terrone, my family is southern Italian, I live amongst many italians that originate from northern italy, I grew up with the racism. It might be watered down from where I am, but after italy unified many southerners left to south america and new york because of the neglect and unfair taxes. I don't have to be taught this in school I live it everyday, even now.

Dear Kate, it would be a clash of interests if his TVs had the monopoly to judge the government. But the TVs are competitors on the TV market like all non-Berlusconi media, so it is still a fair competition. Saying nice things about Berlusconi won't automatically help him or his channels, after all.
From a Central European perspective, all Italians are connected to Mafia in one way or another. You would have to be more specific with your accusations and evidence.
