  • The format of the film is wrong. Is tehere any better version of this film out there?

  • This video makes me understand just how lucky I was to have a great childhood growing up in america due to america being a more developed nation.

  • It is amazing to see a country coming together to eradicate children's death by simply offring easy enough programs at schools to also how rge system.Adapt to every community segments' lifestyle and go above and beyond to treat all that is treatable almost as soon as it is suspected. The Sara program is also nothing short of a success!! tis is a perferctexample of a country poor, and on the verge of almost extinction through war had worked hard to create double functioning teachers!! my respect!

  • Martyr Salih Mekki,

Thank you for sacrificing your whole life for the well being of my people.

Eritrea is a blessed land to have raised a hero like you, who paid dearly with their lives when it counts the most.

The liberty & foundations of development you have built all over Eritrea is benefiting millions of Eritreans, for the first time in the history of Eritreans.

Eritrea, the grateful nation will eternally celebrate your good name, devotion & sacrifices.

    May God/Allah bless your soul.

  • The works and efforts of people such as Saleh Meky will never go forgotten...this is a great example of how a country in AFRICA can overcome great odds such as hostile neighbors and ill premeditiating Western Super Powers by standing on its OWN and starting a viable INFRASTRACTURE for itself and its people's future. We can see here how EDUCATION is of great importance (as it should be throughout of AFRICA) if we are to get out of the pit that mosty others dug for us!!!HALURAH~HARULAH!!!XXX>>>...

  • I made two typos or shall I say mispells on my previous comment that I became aware of now. 1) PREMEDITATING instead of premeditiating 2) INFRASTRUCTURE instead of infrastracture. Anyway I also wanted to add what Saleh Meky left was a great legacy but he was not alone in this endeavor as one can see these determined, eager, selfless, young teachers giving it their all as seen on this video footage. I have always admired and held in high esteem those who give their all for the sake of others. HA!

  • God bless you Salih Meky! Rest in Peace our beloved hero. Thank you and you and the other Eritrean heros and heroins will live forever in our minds. Thanks for allowing us to say we are Proud of Eritrea's health development and all around growth to be the best nation it can be.

    Zelalmawi Zikri Swatna.

  • R.I.P. Saleh Maki

Minister Saleh Maki is featured on this remarkable video for his contribution to the amazing success of Eritrean school children enjoying first-class educational opportunities and health care.

The legacy of Minister Saleh Maki is the memory of a great self-less man who gave so much and sacrificed so much for these children and the inheritance of a great example.

Minister Saleh Maki will forever live on in these children whom he loved and cared deeply.

    R.I.P. Saleh Maki

  • The journey of mankind, starts with the first fews teps.

Yes, life is full of trying times. But pioneers, who can see the light across the tunnel, believing in human spirit of beating ALL odds & over coming difficulties, always chart their own destiny.

Eritrea, remains classical example of human spirit in successfully overcoming odds.

Critics will always condemn the journey, but "the camel marches on till the end of the destiny, while the dogs always bark".

I dare you to prove me wrong!!!

  • Good video!!!!

  • that is wonderfull,keep on

  • 2,3 years time we will c economically strong Eritrea ...at the moment Eritrea is educating its young citizens. and the education is designed to minimize the 90% Eritrea is importing....as soon as the education is on the way all we need is a bit of money ...that is were we need our gold to support us economically ...

  • Liyish, I will answer all your questions as soon as you answer ALL OF MY QUESTIONS, ONE BY ONE.

If you are so happy that Eritrea is NOT part of Ethiopia,,

    1. Why did you Ethiopians lost hundreths of thousands of Ethiopian soldiers & spent billions of dollars, waging 50 years of wars in Eritrea?

    2. Why are you barking on Web-sites, which have nothing to do with Ethiopia?

    3. How does STARVING ETHIOPIA, unable to feed MILIONS of it's STARVING people manage to build schools in Eritrea?

  • Its sad how this country call Eritrea is under attack by SUPER power western countries like America and France its 2009 yet the policy of divide and conquer or all-out invasion of sovereign African state has not stop it look like if your an African country and dont fall under the super powers criteria of what its decided so it can gain world domination of the world markets your at constant war with them.

  • As for Eritreans, every family paying heavy price, we overcame 50 years of Ethiopian genocidal wars, defeated ENORMOUS ODDS to liberate a nation. Therefore, we know what it takes to liberate & rebuild a nation, more than your Ethiopian ancestors has ever known in their life time.

I hope this video is NOT breaking your Ethiopian wicked & scorn heart, but, SEE THE VIDEO, miracles are happing in Eritrea.

ROME WAS NOT BUILT IN A DAY & SO WILL ERITREA. BUT, WE WILL BUILD ERITREA, BRICK BY BRICK.

  • "Eritrea has become a threat - "a threat of a good example", a beacon of hope in a continent filled with misery and despair, and where Africans, despite their abundant resources, because of corruption and greed, and most of all because of economic programs prescribed by self-serving external forces, have been relegated to live on handouts from the "generous" west" ~

    (Sophia Tesfamariam)

  • any one who is an african, eritrea or ethiopian u have to be inspired by this documentary and i hope u will do the same in ur native country couse children are the future .. gad bless eritrea,,,,,,,,,,,,,

  • can we for once stop wasting our time finding what went wrong and who did what and start praying for our nations and the ppl? how hard that can be?

May God bless Eritrea, and the nations near by.

  • is that why u keep peeing all over the place

  • EthioProdigy,

It's funny how one click on your profile could reveal your true color.

Your profile shows you support the invasion and occupation of Somalia by the genocidal terrorist woyane regime, and you condone the rape and murders of underage Somali girls in the hands of the pedophile TPLF forces.

We, Eritreans, know very well that not anyone who uses an Eritrean alias is an Eritrean, and YOU have proven to being an inferiority complex stricken agame as your profile clearly indicates.

  • Eritrea! I love Eritrea and its beautiful people. kemey to all

  • Our Western Countries have built societies based on the fundamental principle that the right to life is NOT equal for everyone.

The discrimination is the quantity of money. If one has money then he has access to fundamental rights, if not, he is simply left to die. Water also is widely becoming a good, which means that, if one has money he can have access to water if not he doesn't. What did our grandparents fight for, if this democracy forces human beings to become wolves for each other?

  • Western countries preach democracy and freedom of speech, but God forbid you question or criticize them or you try to do thing your own way.

  • In my Country, that God is called Berlusconi :^DD

  • Freedom of speech? Look at the video "Berlusconi contestato in Sardegna" (contestato = contested) on youtube. You will see at 00:45 how some students were kindly treated by some men of the right wing or security for having peacefully protested with banners during a public talk held by P.M. Berlusconi against the fund cuts reform to University wanted by his Party.

  • italian?

  • Yes... why?

  • Sorry for pucciquadro... he is just playing the fool, or he is just a fool. I haven't made my mind up yet.

  • :^D

  • :((

  • A community that lives with moral rules,a society built with respect.Even though my country is a poor nation still in its childhood itself evryone who drunk its water have all the hopes for the future. One thing other countries can learn from this documentary is,Life can be easier when ideas are broader and responsibilities are held by everyone. We might be still far to see a prosperous Eritrea,But it is clear the future is as bright and balanced as it can be,for everyone there to see.Peace.

  • We Eritreans are slowely but invitably building one of the model econmy for africa, and hope they might learn one or two lessons how to prospour a country and create plenty...

  • Excellent, maximum respect Eritrea. These things are not even mentioned but when they are, baang, haters come out like scavengers from all angles. But it remains a fact, learn from the youngest nation in africa biyatches, take notes. its like teaching grandma how to use photoshop. highlands to lowlands brrrap braap. hehe

  • This is a powerful documentary... I definitely give a lot more respect to the GOE! This is what you call TRUE DEMOCRACY in its purest form. This is what makes a country a force to be reckoned with...a healthy & educated society!

  • Great documentary!

  • If the legacy of the current Eritrean leaders is that we have a healthy and well educated Eritrean kids capable of leading the country in the future, then all the suffering and sacrifce our current generation is paying is worth it!!We need similar stories on all the other areas that Eritreans are working hard to improve!

  • very nice can u image if we get more resources and money Eritrea is on the rigth road.. God bless and support Sahel Maki for the thanksless job he has..

  • ethioLONDONER AKA Selam Kidane,

I love the look in your distressed face when you watch this remarkable documentary and witness Eritrea is doing far more better than your ex-derg soldier husband's home country where you also pledge your allegiance to.

Once again, Eritrea has managed to inflict a heavy casualty in your gloom and doom camp without firing a shot. Buckle up... there are more to come.

    Friends of Eritrea, Take heart;

Enemies of Eritrea, Take note !

    Selam Kidane, Take note !

  • you moron, so what if it is propaganda ? why can't you just see the bright side of the whole ideas you damn ass.

  • Londoner, Unlike you, FREELY housed in English cages & waiting for monthly FREE hand out from Social Services Welfare Department of your hosts, determined & devoted people take charge of their own destiny, liberating & defending their beloved homeland & rebuilding their society. Your wicked heart must be broken every time you see a young nation & determined people take a step foreword in improving their lives. TOO BAD, YOU CAN NOT STOP ERITREANS but WHILE BURNING YOUR HEART, ENJOY THE SHOW.

  • Hi Selam2020, are you still working for Elsa Chrum as agents for BBC ?

  • Its sad how this country call Eritrea is under attack by SUPER power western countries like America and France its 2009 yet the policy of divide and conquer or all-out invasion of sovereign African sate has not stop it look like if your an African country and dont fall under the super powers criteria of what its decided so it can gain world domination of the world markets your at constant war with them.

  • its the truth

  • This is the most Excellent one I ever seen in Eritrea and in Africa even in the world. In short the world will confess that Eritrea is model for the rest of Africa. This shows, our government and the nation moral, very strong comitment, Love and so on.

Thank's Alex for your invitation. It is worthy to se.

    God/Allah bless Eritrea!

  • Absolutely beautiful. Segum!!! It's high time we all play our role in fulfilling the dreams of our martyr's by working towards building a peaceful and prosperous Eritrea. And this is an excellent example of it.

The question now is what can YOU do? Gdeka Fiter!

  • Very beautiful video! May the wishes and hopes of those who died for us be fulfilled.

  • The Eritrean freedom struggle continues, until the next generation Eritreans are the best educated and healthy leaders this world has ever seen. Our martyrs did not die for me or the living Erits. They died for our future kids and we all need to support and participate until this vision comes true.

Even if it takes one Eritrean child at a time.

  • A nation that I am not only proud of but could not imagine my life without being a citizen. Well done to all that are engaged in its wonderful progress.

  • This is great! This is what PFDJ and all those hardworking teachers, health workers, construction workers, etc. are trying to do. It is sad that people complain from Asmara because the tax for importing a car, plasma TV or modern kitchen fittings was too high.

I think Eritrea has its priorities right. Health, education and infrastructure. With the proper software and hardware development becomes possible.

  • God Bless ♥ E♥ R ♥ I ♥ T ♥ R ♥ E ♥A ♥

  • Mr. Salih Meki, Thank you for your devoted selfless dedication, commitment & hard work for my people & my beloved country. Great job & great accomplishment, as much as you successfully accomplished in Bay Area, Ca.USA.

    WAY TO GO, Bro,,,

  • GREAT START,,, A young nation celebrating it's confidence, determination & hard won victory, flying with it's own wings against ALL mortal odds, overcomes 50 years of war, massacre & wanton destruction.

YES, WE CAN move mountains & leave rich legacy for our children & grand children to inherit.

After achieving independence & rebuilding a great nation, through sweet, blood & grit, Eritrea marches on to reach the stars & THE MARCH GOES ON,,,

    Cheers to Eritrea,,,

  • I am proud to be Eritrean. The camels are marching to fulfill the promises of our heroes.

  • please try to learn african country's from this video.

  • Just to show. The rest of Africa can learn a hell of alot from us. Even with all our troubles, look at the inventiveness, and development in human training the ministry of Health and Education has had. Brilliant Stuff

  • This is the most heart warming, inspiring, and very enlightening documentary about Eritrea's perfect union between the health care sector and the school system, and the miracle that have taken place in the lives of Eritrean school children. The remarkable stories, testimonies, and interviews with the students, teachers and health care workers moved me through spectrum of emotions. The theme of this wonderful documentary should be: Friends of Eritrea, take heart; Enemies of Eritrea, take note !
