Like everything it was all fine until around 1995 when the use of plastics and electronic systems was ramped up.Needless,pointless,over complicated tat.The last thing I want is to be in the middle of nowhere and have the main CPU go down and end up with a dead irrepairable vehicle.To prepare a production vehicle for an arduous trip it has to be stripped,the injection system,emmision control etc binned and replaced with carbs,rebuild the suspension etc.older models were far simpler/better.

Since I have a drivers license Ive had a Series III diesel, a 90 td5 and now a puma 130, land rovers are just unstoppalbe and indestructible, THEBEST4X4XFAR! They just keep going and going!

i have heard their stopping making the rover v8, probebly cos tata is going broke and cant afford to keep jag and LR alive much longer. this sucks. but the vid, awsome land rover deserves a knight hood, a statue and a billion trophies GO LANDROVER

the loss is due to jaguar and land rovers sales dramatically decreasing (which is not due to tata's ownership!)

but the tata nano has well over 200,000 pre sales and is seeing a massive rise in profits for tata.

i think tata while do a better job with land rover and jaguar than ford did, and they plan to make the range rover a more luxury vehicle.
