  • guys can someone who is very sure of what he is saying tell me how good this workout is for body fat loss? im 186cm and 84kg and id like to lose some body fat and maybe like 2kg before real bulking. thanks

  • @ArisenTheMedia indeed im sure it can definately raise your metabolic rate to burn calories.remember,a pound of fat contains 3500 calories.you can never change this.you must burn this.1lb of new muscle requires approximately 45 calories per HOUR to maintain.you can add this to your caloric deficit.exercises-squats,deadlifts,power cleans, bench with 2 inch bar, weighted chins, snatch or clean grip push press.these are all that are truly needed.5x5,train 3-4 times weekly-MAX.hardy solid food,SLEEP!

  • Should I start by the version 1 then go to version 2 or only do the second version?

  • everyone says that who is afraid of hard work.you have a static amount of testosterone available.unless your going to be using extrogenous test or steroids, you have a finite amount.try this for stamina;power clean and jerks-7x5[not to failure] with a 2 inch bar.rest for about 1minute.check your heart rate before when you start, then after.your not trying necessarily to build muscle[i.e. the i minute rest] but are trying to build stamina.take your heart rate agin.mine weny from 71-142.try it.

  • I'm not interested by gaining very big muscles and having no stamina.

  • heavy weight=new muscle.all done!

  • anything that doesnt make me stronger,im not intersted.if standing on my head in a bucket of peanut butter holdind=g a baton would make me an 1lb stronger in any exercise,i would do it.man, that sounds like a dream i had.more muscle-more calories burned at a resting rate, more calories needed to maintain NEW muscle.

  • i think my keyboard needs replaced,5 categories of conditioning;full house, hard, cut ,ripped shredded. much better.

  • training days .they also increased uptake of water to 2 gallons per day.when you hear about all these pros using hydroxyc``ut and the such, what we have learned from pros not under contract with the I.F.B.B.is that they use the drug dnp.you need to look that one up for yourself.it turns on the mitochondria inside every cell in the body turning you into a furnace.side effects are anything over 4x reccomended dose is -DEATH!not something to mess with!unless you can truly follow directions

  • oh for gods sake, shrink wrap effect;i cant believe all the new terninology coming out to say the same damn thing.1lb of bodyfat=35oo calories.burn it and yoll lose it .5 categoties of conditionind;full house, hard, cur, ripped shedded.the latter can only be maintained for an average of 8-10 hours before the body reject it.dave draper, segio oliva, larry cott etc all hated cadio, yet won olympia and universe titles.they trained heavy on tri- stting workouts, cut out wine, cheese, bread and increased

  • What is the weight of the dumb-bells?...

  • this is what i see girls doing at my gym with little pink dumbells....

  • does anyone relly think that the actor who portrayed spartacus held 5lb dumbells to do anything.come on guys.the guy was quite huge.it wasnt these kinds of workouts that build that kind of density and thickness.it was pure power training combined with conditioning.lets all get back to basic strength exercises;deads, power cleans, weighted pull-ups,push jerks, and of couse olympic squats.hell tell you the same thing, and this guy looks stringy compared to SPARTUCUS!

  • @MrCranberry777 The idea of this workout isn't to get huge by any means, it's meant to burn fat and build lean muscle to create the "shrink wrap" effect. I am currently using the first Spartacus workout as well as doing more traditional weight lifting to put on a bit of bulk (traditional) and maintain my lean build (Spartacus). I will say that this workout kicks my ass and leaves me sore. It's no joke, you skeptics.

  • @MrCranberry777 it's a demo dude, relax, do it with 25's and see how far you make it through before you're gassed

  • Nice video, good job.

I have some questions (and excuse for my bad english) but what speed to do these exercises? Slox or fast?

The steps 1 and 2 have to be done how many times?

    How trainig er week?

    Thank you for answers ;-)

  • Hi, Scott,

What's the ideal dumbell weight for this workout?

  • What a lot of you don't realize is this is a full body circuit type workout that puts strain on the entire body and leaves you feeling sore. Its counter productive to do these routines every single day and the star Andy Whitfield, also known as Spartacus did these workouts 3 days a week in the 45 minute breaks he had to himself on set. If your asking what exercises you should do that would make your upper body more sore then your legs the answer is the same lifting you've already been doing for

  • wish i had boobs like that

  • Hey Scott, I haven't seen anyone do a G@y boy workout video. Dyou think you can make one? Ow w8...you already did by far ,)

  • @BrainSqueez Where?

  • you are hardcore!

  • Hey, is this what you do? And how many times a week do you do it?

  • Hey Scott Do You Think You Can Do A Workout On Just Many Variety's Of Push-Ups

  • Hey Scott, not trying to hate at all, this is just a tip. Check your squats/squat jumps. When you burst up your knees go in. That means that your hips may be a little weak. If you do anything like football or MMA, you'll want to have that power in your hips. You might want to do some one legged squats on a bench (no weight) - 2 sets. When it gets easy then go with eyes closed and you're set.

  • @ScottHermanFitness quick question Scott do u do each step 4 times before u move on to the next one

  • btw: thanks for all the workout tips, totally revolutionized my workouts! You ROCK!

  • Hey Scott, where's the 300 costume!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Dude u need to do it, can you do it, what a waist of time nobody like to listen you comments, we want some workout from someone doing it and motivating others to do the same

  • Do you prefer this workout or the 'bloodandsand' workout?

  • At 3:23 he says make sure your knees dont go past your toes lolololol.

  • @rodster3600 They didn't, you idiot...

  • Aaaaarg someone tell this guy to stop screaming and shouting instructions on how to exercise its getting really fucking irritating now what a waste of precious oxygen!!!!

  • @63mwg There is something called a "mute" button, He is instructing people what to do and helping us out as much as he can if you have such a negative attitude don't watch the video.

  • o my goodness this was funn haha

  • would you consider these Spartacus workouts HIIT??

  • Lets see the 3.0 now, yes??

  • Hey Scott! How are you, man?

I have trained spartacus 2.0 yesterday, and it's awesome! But, now I feel only my legs and gluteous are burned! Which series, like spartacus, do you recommend that emphasis chest, backs and arms?

Thank you, Scott! You are the best!

  • @thicapoeira i think the 300 workout is good for upper body! you can try that if you like!

  • scot, do u suggest this one or the original more?

  • Just me, or does the original one seem alot harder than this one? :L

  • is it ok to use only 20 lb dumbbells?

  • would it be good if i did this 3 time a week as a full body workout, ?

  • can anyone help me out here i was wondering which spartacus workou is better spartacus or spartacus 2.0?

  • @naftalirosenbaum1

I've tried both and personally I Found this one to suit my purpose better (burn body fat).

There's no magic fix though; you gotta feel your way to which is the better one for you.

  • Hello Scott thank you very much for all your amazing videos. this is my favorite!! im working so hard to get the results I want and you are helping me a lot! I will send you some of my changes. I deeply thank you for being an isnporation and example that we can do it!!

    Your awesome scott :D

  • Hey Scott, I haven't seen anyone do a Thor workout video. Do you think you can make one?

  • @TrevPwnzNubs a thor work out video is nothing but serious bulking and then shredding both stages. Look for that on you tube to get a thor body

  • @thalast3mperor I love the movie and wanted to see someone do his routine.

  • @TrevPwnzNubs dont u want tarzan or chita workout instead?

  • @oPLightning No.

  • @TrevPwnzNubs whats the diference? workout is a workout titles like sparta workout or any other movie title on a workout video is just to atract people to their videos cuz people watched the movie and wanna look like that..

  • @TrevPwnzNubs the workouts hes done in this video wont get you any muscle whatsoever your wasting time

  • Insanity is best :D

  • Scott, how would you recommend alternating this work out with the Blood and Sand one? How many weeks/months would you do these two exercises?

  • @MDkid1 Six weeks would be a good amount of time to be able to track whether or not you're making progress.

A circuit like this is good because not only can you go for reps in the time allotted and try to improve upon the number of reps each time you do the workout but you can also make gains in strength by increasing the weight you use as well. You can also make some of the exercises harder by doing different variations of them like the squat thrusts do a full burpee.

  • @Expoundupon oh excellent, thanks for the input!

  • awesome circuit

  • Did this workout yesterday. I am bed ridden with aches haha! Great workout Scott! Thank you for your videos

  • you finished 2 circuits and there isn't a drop of sweat :O

  • @bulgeland4 wtf are u a kid or something? grow up, he's got lean muscle unlike you. youre probably a fat ass kid who considers excersise as watching porn. u douchebag

  • awesome job brother.....you are an inspiration

  • I am going to add this to my favorites and do this exercise all summer at home (because my gym membership goes out soon). Thank you, Scott!

  • Thanks for all videos Scott! your a great help!

  • THE MONKEY SO CUTE~

  • yo bro,I have kinda Homer Simpson belly...Im gonna married end of this year, any tips to make my I pack abs turn into Spartaniac abs? I try to disipline myself 3weeks by doing push up..

  • @raxaxaganaz p90x program. and then regular workouts like scott. majulah sukan untuk negara! hhahaha

  • @raxaxaganaz yer.. eat less and workout a lot more.. get the scott herman fitness meal plan on his site, then go to the gym and do stuff like this video, or buy some equipment at home and get ripped there.

  • @raxaxaganaz thanx bro,my weight push down a lil bit this week..

  • @raxaxaganaz pushups aint gonna do shit, you should be going to the gym atleast 4 times a week for an hour or so, as for abs, search up scott's ab routine and do it 3 times a week and finally try and get atleast 30 minutes of cardio everyday and you will be in amazing shape for your wedding

  • Great workout, especially for kickboxing,

  • "I am Spartacus!" "I am Spartacus!" "I am Spartacus!" "I am Spartacus!" "I am Scot Fucking Herman, BITCHEZZ!!"

  • Hey scott!! Imma big fan of urs.

i have a question. I recently came across this Afterburn workout. I'm not really sure about the workout. Do u have any ideas?

  • @ComChicken scott has a hard time answering tons of questions on here, your better off asking on his facebook page, you'll get great advice there

  • @ComChicken i would say you should try out almost any routine as long as it isn't a scam ... it is always good to switch it up every once in a while. If you have any other questions please feel free to reply or message me. I also have fitness videos up on my page so check them out and if you like them please subscribe. Have a good one :)

  • Scott are you sure the leg has to be 90 degrees? It looks like the front leg is but the back leg isn't..

  • i need to get lower abs but idk how to .....i have a 4 pack now but i want a 6 pack...how should i work on my lower abs?

  • @klx1910 there is a few exercises to develop your lower abs one of the best being hanging leg raises but to get your lower abs to show you need to get rid of the fat that is covering them, you can do all the ab exercises you want but if you dont get rid of the fat they wont show. I suggest you look at rob riches videos he tells you all you need to know.

  • @klx1910 You need to do things that involove bringing your legs/feet up toward your torso. Leg or knee lifts while lying on the ground, or on a bench, or hanging from the captain's chair will help bring out the lower section of the abs.

  • @steveh88 thank you.

  • @klx1910 doing ab exercises doesn't get your abs to show, it helps strengthen them. If you want your abs to show you should start doing more cardio exercises to help burn calories and remove that extra layer of fat. If you have any other questions please feel free to reply or message me. I also have fitness videos up on my page so check them out and if you like them please subscribe. Have a good one :)

  • Have you tried P90X?

  • wow, and i thought the blood and sand was difficult hahaha

  • Omfg, awesome! Lol.

  • I did about half of this and my legs felt like jelly and gave out. Dear god this workout is hard but sooo worth it.

  • great workout scott! i was pouring sweat when i finished! :p keep up the good work

  • scott whats the difference in training of fitness models and bodybuilders?

  • @nitinlkoin1984 fitness models aren't going for bulk they are going for definition. If you have any other questions please feel free to reply or message me. I also have fitness videos up on my page so check them out and if you like them please subscribe. Have a good one :)

  • He always use red underware :-P

  • This makes me sweat so much. This is a great workout!

  • Hey Scott, just wanted to know if you take any supplements like creatine, protein etc?

  • @TheJaceMan3 the only thing you really need to take is protein. Creatine will help but it isn't needed. If you have any other questions please feel free to reply or message me. I also have fitness videos up on my page so check them out and if you like them please subscribe. Have a good one :)

  • Ey scotty here looks like there is steam around!! lol!

  • SPARTACUS 1.0 IS TOUGHER!

  • Cake or pie.. discuss

  • I'm Spartacus!

  • This workout routine will NOT build anyone any muscle

  • @p0k3sMoT42o Incorrect. It merely builds a different kind of muscle, just not the bulky chunky muscle that meatheads who can't scratch their own shoulders are so proud of. This is a workout that builds endurance and lean, defined muscle while also burning calories: it is a godsend for those who need to burn fat and "tone up"; and yes, you will still gain some muscle mass regardless, it's a simple matter of biological processes: you tear down a muscle with resistance, it adapts.

  • @xDaemonIncarnate muscles can only get bigger, being defined has to do with your bodyfat level not what type of workout regime you're on

  • @LlLnig that is not true. To stimulate muscle growth you need to be doing super heavy weight for 6-8 reps.

  • @xDaemonIncarnate your better off just lifting normally in whatever rep and weight range you want and including cardio in your routine. This routine just uses one weight for all the muscles it works out, using the same weight for your quads as you do for your shoulders is nonsense.

  • Well, I did it! Or rather, I did half of it. Supposed to do the whole thing 2x, and I only got through it once. So! Many! Squats! ARGH!

  • Scott you're looking weaker every time I see you haha jk.

  • Sweet home routine. *Like*

  • hi scott, how much do those dumbbells weigh?

  • @superpucc and ScottHermanFitness. Yes, please advise as I am having a back pain twinge AND a right shoulder probable tear and am watching it. This is great.

  • @TheMediaman6.. i just wanna see if you should do strength training or endurance training with this workout really :P

  • there are very similar kettlebell exercises and circuits

  • I bet there was a blooper on the frist excercise where you hit yourself ;)

  • Scott: I do biceps one day, then I rest 3 days and then do my back rest for 2 days and so on ..Is that to much or to little? Or is it perfect? :)

  • Hello Scott, good clear video, its always easier watching a video of these type or routines, rather than just reading the article on mens health and stuff, I was wandering what you could recommend for building endurance and muscle? I recently started boxing, and I run a lot to build endurance for the rounds, but want to build muscle too, but everything I've read says when building muscle cut out the cardio or minimise it at least, any suggestions?? Thanks dude

  • I did this yesterday, and shit its not easy -_-

  • scott seriously do you take roids?

  • Looks amazing! Herminator is doing his job great :D

  • Would stopping at your chin not limity your range of motion in the arm gradually??

  • Hi Scott, I'm a new subscriber and I wanted to know what exercises are good for upper body strength but will also help with overall weight loss/muscle gain? I ask this because I dance but by upper body strength is disgraceful and I want to work on that but I still have to ALOT of pounds to lose because i'm over-weight. Any suggestions?

  • @lildanial555

he explains stuff like this in his videos

you just have to scroll down

  • Great workout Scott. Started off thinking this was easy and considered upping my weights but glad I didn't. Legs feel like jelly and got a proper sweat on. Brilliant job.

  • Will this destroy the entire body?

  • How much weight are we supposed to use???!!!

  • @kparker1145 Whatever's comfortable for you? No point someone on here the size of Arnie telling you to use 40lbs a hand and then someone like Pee Wee Herman (lol, no pun intended) saying to use 5lbs. Start off with say 10-20lbs and then work up/down depending on how you're getting on.

  • his kids will be lucky in the future to have a trainer dad, lol

  • Wouldn't it be safer if you had your back straight at 7:20?

  • Hey scott do you incorporate any weight training on your cardio days? and if you're aching like a mother one day, do you recommend resting or just go work another part of the body?

  • You are THE hottest man in the world. You're so attractive that I couldn't hear anything you said and had to restart the video. I mean seriously! Great workout, excellent instruction and video, and some girl is very, VERY lucky. :)

  • Dude you are looking huge. It's like you're a human tyre and you just got a top up from a foot pump or something lol

  • damn all his recent videos are homo exercises for fat obese people, fuk this

  • the HERMINATAH!!!!

  • It's crazy how you never run out of exercises to show us :D

  • haha you look like a frog in some of this exercises. nice work scott!!! :)

  • Scott you are looking a lot bigger in this video. Good job Scott!

  • @kroening123 thanks man! Trying my best! :)

  • @kroening123 He's not bigger, its just smaller weights than normal ^^

  • @kroening123 Are you being serious or are you just kissing ass? He doesn't look 1 lb bigger now than he did in some of his first videos almost 2 years ago. Go look for yourself.

  • Awesome video (Thumbed up) :) but what weight dumbells should we be using. Light, medium or heavy for losing weight/toning.

  • where do you work biceps and chest besides pushups?

  • can you give like a good mix up workouts like chest n triceps, back n bicep.. if u catch my drift?

  • I was Blah about going to the gym now i'm pumped and ready thank Scott

  • no offense but i think u need better audio equipment :) dont want u to keep raising your voice

  • Loved the first spartacus workout Worshipped the second one.

  • i have been following Scott for 3 months now and i have been doing the previous Spartacus workout at least once a week for the past two. thanks too SHF and some encouragement of friends i have lost 20 pounds. i am now down to 168 and in the best shape of my life.

this work out killed me, i just finished it an hour ago and my legs are done for the day! just remember that while speed is important, proper form is crucial...

thanks for everything SHF!!! cant wait to see whats next :)

  • How heavy were those dumbbells?

  • Give the man a microphone.

  • i love how you explain the exercises. I tried a couple, the ones that looked the easiest.....they were NOT at all easy haha. love your videos :)

  • SOMEONE CLEAR THIS UP FOR ME, 3 SETS IN TOTAL OR 2?

  • @Mitchell9oh5 First 5 exercises twice, rest 2 mins, first 5 twice again, rest 2 mins, next 5 exercises twice, rest 2 mins, next 5 twice again, and collapse :P

  • love how you pronounce your a's :D

  • Thank you soooo much not many workouts get me winded and tired but this sure worked me! Thanks for showing us this workout its great!! :)

  • Holy shit i just tried this shit ...its is crazy it fucked up my lower back and my quads in a good way... and believe me if u worked hard you will be cursing out too in the comment section

  • This isnt a spartacus workout they dont have dumbells

  • scott, what does YOUR weekly workout look like? You definitely don't have time to do everything you've posted, so what do you do? do you change it from week to week/ month to month, etc? I also think incorporating time as a factor is very important in any workout
