I've tried keeping a carnation coral on two separate occasions, both times unsuccessful. What's your secret. You have some very difficult and high maintenance corals in this tank. respect.
beautiful. What lighting did you have on it? I'm starting up a 4 gallon nano and I would like to find something small enough to fit over it. Nothing too strong but to grow some lps and soft corals.
Cool tank how did you get the water so clear? I just set mine up two weeks ago and the filter it came with doesn't do a very good job . Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
@MrCoralGuy I would but the tank doesn't look like that right now, I got rid of those rocks and replaced it with dry rocks and sold those 2 gorgs because it took too much work to keep it healthy, still in the process of getting it to look really nice, just don't have the money right now
sorry to hear about your fish. You know that those corals that you have are pretty well known not to survive captivity for very long rightI? Mainly the blue berry gorg and the carnation coral. I mean, maybe you are doing some experimental, non photosynthetic coral feeding experiment or something, I don't know. Anyway, if not, hope you didnt pay much for them since they will die.
@dennis4679 Hey dennis, matter of fact you are right on point. The flower tree coral(not carnation) is an expert level coral so it didn't do so well in my tank after a week or so. I feed them phytoplank and zooplankton but my tank just couldn't handle the bioload of these 3 nonphotosynthetics. Just to be sure it doesn't die, I have sold it to someone on forums for a better home. These came to my senses when I did my observations and definitely paid low decent prices on these. Thanks for sharing.
