  • The Life & Times of Tim...

  • the life and times of tim

  • The superchamps, what is wrong with that? I am white and I grew up listening to Little Richard on what used to be called rhythm and blues stations.

  • this would be a great song for a fallout game! come on i cant be the only person thinking that?

  • @thesuperchamps: Do really think your going to get out of this world alive hahaha hank williams songs are only white man blues, hey listen to rbutler8585 he is great. Is it weird I like robert johnson, blind boy, leadbelly and more, nope I like music that is real no bs,I can feel some music deep inside my self don't how or why I just can. Hank is one that can open me up like a can opener and grab my gutts, soul or what ever . Hope you read this champ. Luke W Rodgers

  • Well Hell! Everybody in the world can 'ol Hank!!!! And God bless him, and 'Ol Bocephus, and 3 too. That boy sounds and looks like his Grand Daddy.

  • My favourite Hank Tune.

  • LIFE AND TIMES OF TIM!!!

  • amen @the supercump...muzic is muzic cash cows mest it up.. black folks play the best bluse n country check out furry leiws hes the best

  • I guess he was right. maybe he should have waited for the next plane.....

  • anybody have an idea for a tattoo? i want something with" I'll never get out of this world alive" under it, hank williams johnny cash and gary allan are my 3 favorite singers and by far the best, gary allan you may ask ? he sings music that actually makes you feel something most of the time sad stuff like hank and hasn't put out 1 bad song in my mind

  • @thesuperchamps, not at all bud. Music ain't got no ethnicity. Matter of fact, a Black dude taught Hank Williams how to play gutair.

  • I've never been into country music but there is something about Hanks music that really gets me

  • Oh Tim...You are amazing :D :D

  • about the black or white feelings for a song, the blacks are probably more skiddish to like country singers for obvious deep held historical reasons, however good music jumps all bounds, i drove my parents crazy listening to ray c & little richard back in the 50s. no your no weirder than me , enjoy it

  • life and times of tim lol

  • was this his last song? what a coincidence

  • Life and times of Tim is back!!

  • yeeeeeaaaaahhhh!...hank rocks!

  • ..." I wasnt born I was only hatched....' His best song. Definitely. Truth to the bone. Too much hehe! Always love hearin this. Thank you x Peace n blessings ~"Jenny"

  • i drank a beer, struck my wife, wrecked my truck, killed an animal, pet my dog, and got arrested to this song

  • Time Machine. Hank Williams Autograph. that is all I have to say.

  • Can there ever be anyone greater than this guy?

  • Is it Weird that im a black guy and i love Hank Williams Music?

  • @thesuperchamps So was the great Ray Charles

  • @thesuperchamps

Absolutely not. One of Hank's biggest early influences (maybe the biggest) was a local black blues musician named "Tee Tot." :)

Anyway, great music transcends race, age, gender...you name it.

  • you rock superchamp!!!

  • @thesuperchamps no more than me loving james brown music,or bb king,or robert cray, albert collins, seen all them guys

  • @thesuperchamps No. I''m white and love Robert Johnson

  • @thesuperchamps Considering who taught Williams how to play music, no.

  • @thesuperchamps: Not weird at all mate, good tunes are good tunes :).

  • @thesuperchamps Fuck no dude! Hank is for EVERYBODY! Cant go wrong there!

  • YES

  • @thesuperchamps Music has no color, my friend. As it should be in all matters of life.

  • @thesuperchamps I'm an Arab guy who likes Hank Williams.... is that weird?

  • @thesuperchamps Absoluetly not. All the old Country musicians were hanging out in the juke joints with the Blues men. The convention of "Music Genres" came into being with the advent of the recording industry as a business. Good music used to be Good music and didnt have a title associated with it.

  • @thesuperchamps No its not weird. Great Music appeals to cats of any color :) Is it weird that I'm white and like Ledbelly hell no!!

  • @thesuperchamps is it weird for white people to listen to rap?

  • @thesuperchamps Well today that's how it could be considered, but hey, I'm a 15 year old listening to Hank Williams. :p People really need to check this stuff out!

  • @thesuperchamps pretty sure he learnt the move it on over type of style from a black guy :)

  • @thesuperchamps yup it was a black man named rufus payne

  • @thesuperchamps Hell naw, man. Country music is for everyone! I'm a Yankee and LOVE this shit! (Boston, white boy btw!) lmao!

  • @thesuperchamps Good music is good music, it all has similar roots. I love him I'm an Anglo Australian.

  • @thesuperchamps hell no! means your an american

  • @thesuperchamps hello black guy! it is no suprise to me because it was a black man that taught ole hank all he knew! te-tot!

    snaglepuss10

  • @thesuperchamps Nope, A black fella taught Hank to play guitar. His name was Tee-Tot

  • @thesuperchamps nope

  • @thesuperchamps I respect you now LOL

  • @thesuperchamps

Well, you could say you're a minority. lol. But then again, there was Charlie Pride, Cowboy Troy and maybe a couple of others. Let's just say you keep good company. Old Country lovers united!

  • @thesuperchamps Thought I was the only one at first lol.

  • @thesuperchamps

    No.

  • @thesuperchamps im black and i would say it doesnt matter. as long as you like it then it shouldn't be weird

  • @thesuperchamps you'd be weird if you didn't like Hank....shouldn't everybody?

  • @thesuperchamps Hell no man its awesome! Cheers!

  • @thesuperchamps No ... I recall reading that a performance of Hank's back around 1951 was held up for an hour or so at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville because a large number of black people had shown up for the show, but they didn't have a black section in the theater (there was still segregation back then). They finally had to rope off a large section of the theater for the people, and the show went on. Hank was the first country singer by many, years who had that happen.

  • @thesuperchamps No , Hank's music has nothing to do with race.....it would be strange if you were a WOMAN and liked Hank's music ;) lol

  • @sandmountainslim haha, I'm a woman and LOVE his music. :)

  • @thesuperchamps nope, you should be happy that you give music outside of a sterotype a chance. Lots of great music in this world. And you don't need Pop culture to tell you what it is.

  • @thesuperchamps Respectable people of any race should love country music - especially of this caliber

  • @thesuperchamps No. u want a cookie for your accomplishment or something? music has no color.

  • @thesuperchamps

Nope. Charley Pride did and became one of the greatest stars of his generation. Eclectic is awesome!

  • @thesuperchamps no its not, everyone loves the HANK

  • @thesuperchamps - Not weird at all. For Music Lovers Music has no Race, No Sexual identity, No Country. It spreads Peace & harmony everywhere it goes...

  • @thesuperchamps Hank is blues and early country - so nope

  • @MsMrReason

Hank isn't early country he "is" country, XD.

  • @crimsonninja Won't get into that argument but factually he is early country - regardless of whether people think Shania Twain and Taylor Swift are country. Taylor Swift in particular.

  • @MsMrReason thank Crimsonninjas trying to tell yah he aint early country hes mother fuckin The King of country.

  • @ozzyboy74566 Fuck off sunshine I know what I said - I don't need an interpretor especially one that has taken the sentence out of context. I think he is great but he is definitely early country regardless of his title. So read my post again and if you cannot be bother just fuck off and stop trying to start a fight.

  • His son will never live up to his dad's name.

  • TIM!

  • "He died in the back of a caddilac when he had 2 shots of vitamine b12 and 1 shot morfine along with a bottle of whiskey" - fuck yeah. LOL.

  • justin bieber made 4 profiles to dis this song

  • @ASSASSINofHALO How can you mention that performing child, and the great man that was Hank Williams in the same sentance?.

  • THE TIME AND LIFE OF TIM ! <3

  • theres 4 fags out there that better watch there back

  • Another Classic Sr. tune......unintentional timing of release sure didn't hurt "commercial " aspect of the song. Alot like 'Double Fantasy" by J. Lennon in that same way. Although released before his death.....sales certainly soared after it. I remember reading a quote at that time from some critic (it's been awhile, can't recall name or particular book) "Tough way to have a hit". Sort of applies here too. Heck of a tune for his last "hit". Thanks for posting.

  • Hank barely made it out of the rest of that year alive

    and its a shame.

  • Hank Williams Sr. is (without ANY question ) the one, single solitary 'KING of Country Music ! Accept no Substitutes !

  • my life all the way

  • whats a CARRIE UNDERWOOD?

  • @THEFLYINGREDNECK somethin to poke on

  • @deebodeez30 no, carrie underwood is toilet paper. NAH, IM KIDDING! because you cant use a piece of crap to clean another piece of crap

  • @THEFLYINGREDNECK call it what you will, .... im sure hank would too

  • i know he did literally hundreds of songs but this has to be one of my favorites no offense but i usually stay with originals and dont like advertising too much, like VEVO, but i do like the material of jr and sr too

  • "A lawyer proved I wasn't born, I was only hatched!"

  • you can hear the roots of rock a billy in this... i hear a lot of what chuck berry would also soon pick up and run w/ also.

  • @kelvinkloud

Oh yeah, that's why I like old Country, unlike the "pop country" of today.

  • to me there well never be anyone like hank sr. ever again he was a master in his filed i miss his songs so much. R.I.P. I will see u some sweet day in haven .

  • Clarissa, You make the mistake of thinking that the south is the only place that racism thrives, I've talked to people in California, Pennsylvania, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Illinois, and West Virginia, and trust me, racism is everywhere, it's not limited to the south.

  • gatlinburgfdq -as I can't figure it out, what exactly did that alleged quote by hank III actually mean? you're not a smart man, are you?

  • I can't believe how much racism there still is in the American south. I love the south, I'm a proud Texas girl of Hispanic descent. I grew up listening to so much different music, including country because of my grandfather, who is an army veteran and loves this country. I personally have lost my trust for this government of ours but I love the land and the music. Why can't any argument between two people of different ethnic backgrounds end without a racist remark. Just listen to the music!!!

  • @clarissab2010 Ohhh I love me some Tex-Mex!

  • jimmy bianca1900 u forgot chloral hydrate not tryin to piss u off caue im very thankful u put this up w/ good quality but there were 4 igrediants in the death of the best county singer to ever live

  • Happy Birthday Hank!

  • music is either good or bad & its colour is blue

  • I demand a Season 3 for Tim.

  • Thanks for making this available, my CD from the library was scratched on this song. Great little yodelin' bits.

  • Why is it when I try to relate with a person on honest feeling they shun me, and when I am fake people like that?

  • True Country music. That being said, there's some good shit out there now too, tho it shouldn't be called Country.

Btw, I love how there's racism going on in the comments. Hank Williams was given guitar lessons by Rufus Payne, A BLACK STREET PERFORMER, and a lot of his later music style (which this would be) was majorly influenced by him. So, shut the hell up, music is music.

  • he died a few hours from my house

  • this is one of the true forefathers of country music not saying that all todays music sounds like ass but you know

  • what freak pecker head hit the dis like botton

  • @gatlinburgfdp somebody who doesnt know what real country music is!!

  • @joshacio there is nothing wrong with garth and toby. hank, johnny, willy, and conway are just better. ;)

  • @cherrysoda1234567 im sorry man thats like calling jim morrison, justin beiber.

  • @joshacio haha i'm not a "man". i'm a chick, and nooo, its not.

  • This is real. There is very little music produced today (that can be heard on a wide scale) that is real. The realness died slowly off over time... leading always to the lowest common denominator. Thank heavens for the internet where we can hear what we want without any bullshit (except the occasional justin beber bullshit post-damn them). Thank you jimmybianca1900.

  • The king

  • Wow one little dickhead disliked the video... what a cunt

  • 2 minutes and 30 seconds of pure amazement.

  • Easily on the level of Freddie Murcury or Ravi Shankar.

  • REINSTATE HANK

  • The life and times of Tim are indeed some struggled and strive tales.

  • i love hank williams sr music.i also love hank jr's music

  • just geat, gimme more

  • the man had a precognitive ability-Yup call me crazy but he was pshycic

  • This song is so badass. This isn't only true grit country, it's just sick music and I don't get why people can't dig it. Oh well I guess.

  • who the hell didnt like this song?

  • great song by one of the greats a true outlaw Hank sr is one of the true singer song writer's that paved the way but now we have these soo called pop country singers what did hank 3 say some say im not country but thats fine with me cause i dont want to be country wit some faggot looking over at me

  • @gatlinburgfdp hey dick...some of us fags actually like Hank williams sr. and despise what new nashville has to offer. I'm pretty sure musical taste doesn't correlate with sexual orientation.

  • @lloyd417 well thanks for the reply there dick thats a really good come back prolly beacuse thats what is on your minde

  • @gatlinburgfdp hank3 is the man!

  • @Copenhagen365 yes sir he is he is a lot like Hank sr livein the outlaw way playin what ever music he wants

  • @gatlinburgfdp i love the line of men in that family all 3 were badass. but i like hank jr less than both of them. to umm generic for me. but country boy can survive is a great.

  • The background story of his dying under the influence was that he was in terrible pain from stenosis of the spine. Perhaps, being the fun loving guy he seemed to be from his songs, he wouldn't have been swallowed up by the drugs if he had gotten the modern medical treatment of today for a horrid back problem... speaking from experience...

  • @stompafly

What exactly makes me a lowlife

  • goddam hank

  • I'm layin' off the B12

  • No big and bloody thing, just thanks for the great tune!

  • this was not his last song.... his last recorded song was were getting closer to the grave each day/

  • this was not his last song.... his last recorded song was were getting closer to the grave each day/

  • SMH, no one cares who or what sent you here. I've known about Hank since I could breathe.

  • 29 years young

    thats outlaw

  • reinstate my asss

    he is the mother f========

  • Watseka Theatre Watseka Illinois Summer 2011 Country Music Concert Series;

    July 2 Marty Stuart; July 15 The Bellamy Brothers; August 5 Josh Thompson;

August 26 Ricky Skaggs; September 3 Jerrod Niemann.

  • Hank Williams does not belong in a pop country joint like the Grand Ole Opry. He was kicked out after 3 years because they couldn't handle his drinking habits. Do not reinstate Hank Williams to the Grand Ole Opry because it's not grand anymore!

  • @ltccomics You think he was the only one who drank and did drugs back then? Do some research. What the Grand Ole Opry did is bullshit. Hank Williams is the sound of country music.

  • well in the words of MR. hank williams the third, "The Grand ol' OPRY AINT SO GRAND NO MORE"

  • Thums up if -the life and times of Tim got you here!!!

  • im sick of people wanting to reistate hank sr. to the grand ol'opry!!!! the opry aint what it use to be at all and if hank sr. was still alive he wouldnt even want in the opry ... louisiana hell ride!!! all the way

  • @imalwaysrite666 yeah dude UP THE IRONS FROM LOUISIANA

  • He was on the verge of success with his music, couldn't he see that?!?

  • @Khultan he wasn't on the verge of success, he was one of the most popular country singers of his day and had many #1 hits. i think the problem was he didn't quite know how to cope with the fame

  • @clintpiercejr I think you're right.
