If italian baikes were the best then they would have some sort of standing over the hondas and yamahas of Moto GP. They are fun to ride,but not the fastest or most comfortable.

i have never rode one before but from what i have read and heard it is on another level from other bikes. For one all the bikes you said are 4 cylinder bikes and i believe this is an L-twin motor thats one difference also the riding position is "better" and the bike have a perfect gravity for turning and handling. Ducati's are just build superior to other bikes. Its not the big things its the little things like not using springs to push the valves closed :D
