Sad the business is the way it is these days. I grew up on WCCW here in Dallas and was a mecca of the old school style and they could really sell those over the top characters. I often ran into the late Skandor Akbar as a teen and he'd always ask me ''son, when you gonna let me teach you the business'' I always said as soon as powerlifting seasons over. Sadly I never got to make that happen.

@OtorresFitness i cant do that.. but so agree that wrestling has become childish and very lame.. i love japanese wrestling that are realistic ..

wrestling is not about wrestling these days! .. i cant watch it anyone after eddie and chris died.. booker went out and all those good ones are not there..

they try to bring back the rock but they are doing him a horrible service with the bad character he has now.. its a shame!

hey man, is 15 stone over weight for a 14 year old, i mean im pretty much solid too, and i can lift my mother up, shes about 8 stone???

Ric, I have been a big fan of your wrestling school, and a huge fan of ric's corner. I think both of these segments have really helped me out. The question I have is if there are other matches like the ones you have in this video that you could direct me toward?

I am a small guy but I really don't flip, so I am very much into technique, selling, bumping, and mat wrestling. My personal mission this year is to learn how to bump and sell properly.

Old School wrestling was real wrestling. .  I don't like the stuff they put out these days - it's too "plastic" and fake like the steriod bodies they have these days. It's so mechanical and predictable, and even the wrestlers look alike. I just lost interest in it. But OLD SCHOOL wrestling-that is REAL wrestling.
